9.5 best of the season (haven't watched made in abyss so idk if season 2 is better). Already one of my favs for the characters and constantly evolving plot and world building
with SoL elements inbetween. Also the animation is superb, it's A1 studios anyway.

3k upvotes is pretty good but it's not Spy x Family or Kaguya-sama numbers. What's impressive is that it gets the same amount of awards though, highly praised but not highly viewed.

Spy x Family and Kaguya-sama mangas were already pretty popular before the anime though. An original anime could never hit those kind of numbers in a first season
