Riot has an office and server in Istanbul, the main reason is that I think(because of the low pings, good communication with the company etc.). The second one, yes Turks have always been a presence in csgo but don't have a single success(except some stars like woxic, xantarex, calyx if you see them as success).

In addition, in earlier times of Valorant's launch, popular Turkish streamers played it a lot, and got some prizes in tournaments such as Twitch rivals. BBL, which is the best team in Turkey and one of the bests in all Europe, came from those times with some additions in time.

In Turkey we have a meme like "as bayrakları", it means "hang the flags", and when we have small or big international successes or things that make us famous, we say "as bayrakları". In Valorant we have a lot of "as bayrakları" moments.

Long story short, we love Valorant because it makes us to feel strong and proud.
