I've been struggling with my mental health over the past month or so. But I'm feeling much better now, thank you everyone for the support. I will hopefully return to competitive play soon. Also of course there will be monthly streams!!

It’s good that he’s back, but ik some ppl are gonna nitpick the “monthly streams” part and imply that SEN isn’t practicing for LCQ.

Ill be downvoted to hell but i dont think its a fair excuse, unless SEN is not paying his salary in the break

You cant just leave your team in the middle of the most important match of the season yet

You know in regular 9-5 jobs there is something called paid sick leave right?
There's no competition if you aren't healthy enough to even compete at all.

It’s very hard / basically impossible to get sick leave for mental health.

Especially a month.

Especially when you’re needed the most.

Unless he tried to kill himself, 99% of jobs would expect him to work.

Not saying it’s a good system, I’m just saying that using the excuse “9-5 jobs give sick leave” doesn’t mean if he worked any real job they would be okay with him taking a month long break because he was depressed.

SicK needs to take his time, rushing to get back is going to make the mental even worse. He needs to know he has people behind him to support him now matter what

It's understandable that he was depressed. It's not like he's doing a real job + going through a whiffing/not winning these phase in the game. The fear of becoming irrelevant will always be prevalent. Even though he feels better now, it'll kick back again trust me.

I think you underestimate how important mental health is.

I think you are misinterpreting the term "mental health issues" when he literally recovered in a month and you all act like he is suffering from manic depression.

If I see one more rtrd labelling casual sadness as "mental health issues" I'm gonna kill myself.

It's not fear of becoming irrelevant... Man has been through so much last few months - Rough SEN patch, Breakup and so much shit. Anyone would feel low if they're going through stuff like that for the first time in their lives

you dont have to be suffering from manic depression to feel mentally bad, not everyone has the same mental capacity to take their sad situations and view them in a slightly more positive manner. Some people are more sensitive than others (whether ur an adult or not) and idr him saying he "recovered" he said he got better, so ig people who feel better after knowing they have cancer have recovered from cancer now? and btw so called "casual sadness" can be too much for some people coz well everyone has different views (omg no way right? its almost like we are all not the same)

I never said he had “maniac” depression nor did i act like he had “manic” depression. All I said was that ppl don’t know what he was going through. Who are you to say he had “casual sadness?” Stop making assumptions when the only info you have is his recovering time. He also said he felt better not fully recovered. He could still be battling mental health issues but he feels like he can compete again.

How in the fuck do you classify it as mental health issues? You literally proved my point. People just feel sad and they paint it in the same light as something actually irregular, important and dangerous. And suddenly depression and all the other mental illnesses are nothing but a "seasonal sadness" and they are never taken seriously. Literally the same as equating cat calling with rape. Belittles a serious issue and destroys the attention actually needed for real patients.

In your paradigm, the person who has a two day flu acts like he has cancer.

It's obvious this has an actual effect on the populace just by reading your reply. You truly don't even know how damaging mental illnesses are. You don't know the half of it. If you had ever met any actially mentally ill person you wouldn't be saying bullshit like "everybody gets affected differently." Mental illnesses are not a matter of fucking opinion like in SicK's case, they are fact, hard/tough truth.
