Problem with sa

Bunch of boomers in the pro scene recycled from another fps game and even prolly another genre. I'm not even gonna be surprised if the pro scene in sa dies due to not trying to recruit new talents and losing against t2,3 teams repeatedly in apac.

RGE , Valor and True Rippers have been trying new talents for quite some time and it doesnt work out.
I guess india's poverty is to blame, not many people have gaming PCs, specially not as kids.

Kids here will force their parents to buy a 100k iphone to go pro in pubgm but will rant about high pc prices
There are decent laptops available in 50k
But mentality is shit here

Well we don’t have enough talent here that if you make a lineup of 5 new players its going to workout however we do have enough that established lineups can replace the weak players with the new young talents

Brazil also has poverty issues...they were the finalists in the last Masters. It's just mentality difference from a lot of other countries and mindset difference. Valorant is pretty popular in India yes but it's still not mainstream enough. Hardly anyone would consider it a career choice and so there's scarcity of talent. People send their children to other cities when they 16 to study just to get into the best colleges in here.... Gaming is just not an option for a large amount of people in here....a lot of them maybe could have done something but we will never know cz they never really tried. Main quest now...is it a problem?...ig no...it will take sometime for any form of eSport competitive scene to develop here and it's just a fact.... instead of blaming players and harassing them we should be happy that there are people trying their asses off to do something for the eSports scene and appreciate it rather than acting like total bitches which we always do whenever any of our team lose (in any fucking sport)

india's gdp per capita : 1900 usd
brazil's gdp per capita : 7000 usd.

Doesn't mean that poverty is non existent in Brazil

I'm not talking about which country's economy is better or worse tho....India and Brazil both have poverty issues.... India has more which is obvious...but again it doesn't affect a lot of people...a middle class family can afford a PC for the long run....but the environment around here isn't gaming friendly... especially at this point education is one of the most profitable sectors in the country with parents obsession of getting their kids into IITs/Medical colleges... gaming will take a long time to develop in here

I mean I don't think at the moment any new talent is better than any of the players already dominating the scene

i mean ur not gonna know if ur not gonna try. There's no way that the rest of the sa (except sa pros) are all casual players, unless they are

Other than few youngsters playing immortal radiant lobbies...most others are casual...💀 Atleast as far as I know...maybe there are rising players I'm unaware of

The problem with every single SA team is that they don't know how to close down maps which simply proves the fact of lack of mentality and experience with big teams and big tournament.....enigma played excellent yesterday but if they can't close down leads and win that map they can't win

boomer not literally saying as 30+ years old... its just all pro who already reached their peak... if you see many pro 25--28 yo they arent really improving if they improve aim at same time their reflex go slow... gaming is very short carrer mate...

I know what i am trying to say is ok we don’t have super young players but at the same time its not like the current ones are super old pretty much all of them are like <25 y/o except a few

cant see them improving taking 1 month break after every vct apac and 1 week after every regional tourney .... its not that cant improve its like they have no incentive to ... they get paid well and just need to make sure remain top in SA... its easier and less tiresome as a lot of em have families .. some still have studies + some have business.. so not many are commit full to just valorant + some just shifted to valo just for money cause csgo died but they dont like valo so many reasons

Agreed they do take alot of breaks but at the same time they do work alot so there’s nothing wrong to take like a 1-2 week break after big tourneys to cool off…. VLT,RNT were doing around 12 hour team practice everyday before scs so whats the harm in taking like a 1 week break and as for apac even sea teams go on breaks after vct knockouts are finished… btw which team took 1 month break ?

Global took almost a month break ( remember the king of hill tourney where they first lost to EG cause they just came out of vac)+ VLT took like 2-3 weeks off( the insane hype they created for 28th april i think it was).... EG was on vacation just after vcc cause couldnt qualify for apac and so tourneys they played till king of hill was from home( even lost pretty bad too in some matches)... so they do take breaks ... i am not against breaks its just not right time , valo off season is after champions in sept.. there wont be any officials till next year you have full 2-3 months for yourself .

noob strategies only pure aim if they win aim duel = they win.
strategies: 1.5/5
decision making: 1.5/5
aim: 3/5

imo.

Well sorry to burst your bubble because not everything revolves around esports. Tbh the only problem I can see is there isn't any tier 2 system which will support the young player without them having to worry about anything. This was the case with China as well . I suggest y'all to go read a bit about the one of the best and successful tier 2 scene in LoL which is in EU/CN/KR and officially funded by riot. Just hope that you and all of APAC gets a good system like that in 2023. This promotes game growth among casuals and from there many get interested in professional VAL.

THE REAL PROBLEM WITH SA Valorant:
I'm writing this thread straight from my heart and I genuinely wish all my fellow South Asian and South East Asian valorant fans go through this thread and drop your opinions below

The Atmosphere : Zero Progression since South Asia started to get slots in Mainstream VCT, at this point I feel that we don't even deserve slots anymore. All the hype back in the country is so useless. Skyesports, the worst ever organisers conducts a VCT qualifier in which matches gets delayed till the next day and conducts streamers battle in between ,where a bunch of clown diamond players, who spits abusive words on stream. If streamers and influencers among the community are toxic and influence the audience in a bad way , we can't complain the Indian audience with 3rd grade social standards being toxic in chat (Yes I'm one among the crowd too). Back to VCT again, So these Indian teams which have qualified to the APAC playoffs has come here after playing a "Mickey mouse-like "tourney. This may or may not have influenced the mentality of the team or the players but surely this is a disgrace for the community and will definitely affect the discipline and growth of the region.
The players : Never we had shortage of mechanically skilled or talented players in-game as a whole. Players like GE KappA who have been receiving immense amount of hate continuously has been grinding to his maximum potential and the results can be observed in his gameplay. So its not the lack of motivation. But somewhere we've lost that missing piece in the jigsaw piece of Valorant, which is yet to be found
Hoping to see Global Esports do well against Alter Ego,thank you
