What is EOMM?
Engagement optimized match making. look it up. it will open your eyes. EOMM has been proven to be the best MM to retain player base. it makes you want to keep coming back for more.

basically what is does is it rigged games base on all statistics the game have when you are playing. it prevents you from winning too much or losing too much. thus making you want to play more.
e.g - if u are on a 3 game losing streak, the game puts you into a queue where the enemy has way worse stats then you thus setting you up for a win. And when you are on a winning streak, the game matches you with players with way better stats thus setting you to get stomped.

some EOMM practice even includes sabotaging the gameplay entirely like giving you peekers advantage, your shots not registering or hitting where your crosshair is obviously pointing at.

all these sounds crazy but why won't a company like RIOT do this since its been proven to be the best way to keep people playing the game?

i found a youtube who explains this perfectly.

really curious what yall think.

Seems a bit far fetched but could be true.

I mean that’s just MMR vs RR, which Riot has been public about. Losing more games moves your MMR down faster than your RR, so you get matched against worst opponents but on average gain less RR and lose more to match your RR with your MMR.

what about the methods of intentionally sabotaging your gameplay? is that why they refuse to have a replay system? as it will exposed alot of net code issues and stuff.

they wouldn’t risk the public backlash they would receive if it got out they were doing it

Sounds like an Alex Jones conspiracy but yet I can believe it.

that's exactly what happens I think from my personal experience

people believe it is because it happens to everyone and we can feel it somehow. we absolutely sh*t on everyone 1 game and get sh!t on in the next game. we hit every shot 1 match and miss on easy targets the next. i truly believe something is going on in the game codes.

isn't that a normal thing for every game? the matchmaking try to make ur winrate at 50% right?

idk about those accusations of the game actually making you miss bullets, i'd be really surprised if this comes out as true

His argument is: They are doing this, because why wouldnt they?

why would they force your win rate to hover around 50%? no matter what??

they dont try to force it, they try to get you matched in an ELO where this happens, aka the whole point of ranks and matchmaking

riot is the exact sort of company that will use this system, they prioritize casual fanbase and try to make the game as addicting as possible while not making it too obvious

Then why does that also happen to pros on LAN?

Well if you ask people in forums, there's always a percentage that have it the way you described: The W/L streaks, the shitty teams on your side and then literally playing against bots...

For me, i wouldn't find it strange if it's happening.

This on the other way looks unlikely to happen imo:

some EOMM practice even includes sabotaging the gameplay entirely like giving you peekers advantage, your shots not registering or hitting where your crosshair is obviously pointing at.
