they dont currently have a direct slot (probably due to it being a smaller region?) they play through APAC qualifiers now i believe though

super true, soulcas can play amazingly when given the chance to perform. (e.g: playing skye, one of his best agents imo) he looks uncomfortable to certain agents and doesnt always have confidence in his playstyle. hope they can figure out their agent comps and come back stronger because as a team they have so many skillfull players

NA: c9 + nrg
EMEA: gmb/m3c + liquid + fpx
APAC: xerxia
KR: DRX but would be nice to see ONS
JP: ZETA
BR: LOUD + VK
LATAM: KRU mostly but would like to see Leviatan

they probably believe team chemistry is more important than theyll individual skill, theyve been a team for quite a while now (-nivera joining late last year, but hes also screams brother which makes it easier). soulcas isnt a horrible player, he just never seems confident in his plays

doubt theyll drop anyone any time soon, theyre really big on staying together as a team and a lot of them have mentioned they wouldnt have even made roster changes even if they couldnt of gone to reykjavik.

would actually be so stoked for this. was cheering for them through qualifiers, i hope they can make a deeper run this time

easily best thing ive read on this website, super informative and has me even more excited for the next stage!!!

this is kind of an irrelevant record, at masters berlin Gambit faced 4 different regions and defeated all 4 (or 3? lost to 100t but beat NV/Optic) at masters berlin, going on to win the event (2nd and 3rd NA, 2nd JP, 1st KR, 4th EMEA) whilst Acend faced still only 3 regions also at champions and beat all 3 and won the event. (2nd BR, 1st and 2nd SEA, 1st and 4th EMEA). Sentinels also only faced 3 regions at masters Reykjavik and also played the least amount of games possible but dropped no maps and won the event (1st BR, 2nd EMEA twice, 1st KR). all 3 of these tournaments had single elim playoffs and ACE had a clean group run, playing the least amount of teams/regions possible (no groups at masters 2 R), at the last masters Optic played the most amount of games in their group stage (although only playing 2/3 regions) and played an extra region due to falling to the lower bracket. all the previous other teams had cleaner runs which resulted them in playing less teams, winning against a larger number of regions doesnt mean anything, it just means you had to play more games because of more mess ups along the way. its still an achievement but for the wrong reason imo.

I mean its to reward a team for qualifying for GF through upper finals, makes perfect sense imo.

im rooting for Loud but its a proven fact that rematches end in different results. good luck to Loud though!

Navi has already entered val though?

d3ffo but also nats i guess

pros are already staying up until 11-2am though? this is why these match times are so stupid, event is set in europe yet its still going on until 2am CET (sometimes even later) when theres more than 1 match in a day. times are only good for NA imo

€3 they win

maybe im biased but FPX was the best team in EMEA, had a good run through groups and absolutely stomped their way through playoffs - them not attending was incredibly unfortunate. theres a lot of arguments to say Gambit and Acend (alongside a few other teams) got """nerfed""" (some reasons are bs) but its stupid to say there werent any reasons they underperformed, obviously competition is high but its easy to correlate current world events and shitty riot formatting to why either of these teams couldve "underperformed" (e.g: gambit having to play 6 bo3s in 9 days). also Asia is a massive part of valorant (and riot games in general) viewership lol, these match times are outrageous for basically anybody whos not in NA, games start in the early hours of the mornings for some countries and end at ungodly hours for others.

happy birthday :D

no duelist comps already got played with chamber substituting for jett even before the nerf, right?

give all slots to CIS so they cant travel. EZ win for other regions

posted about 3 years ago

yeah, its sad :( i rly wanna see fpx on LAN aswell, they looked so dominant.

posted about 3 years ago

tru, hopefully he picks up for next qualfiiers. really wanna see gmb/m3c back on LAN!! (assuming they can go)

posted about 3 years ago

pretty sure cinderella is from the GUILD X team, probably just a stand in since sayf couldnt make it

posted about 3 years ago

yh. its no surprise most "top teams" consist of young players that didnt have much of a past before valorant. hope more players from the vrl leagues get picked up

posted about 3 years ago

yeah that was surprising. looked really good for TL after the 6-6 half. not really sure what happened, perhaps nerves got to them? ZETA looked explosive on attack though, didnt give TL any room to breath.

posted about 3 years ago

yeah, i think this is massive improvement for the whole scene. definitely makes games more interesting aswell, no region bias anymore hopefully. really excited for their next match!

posted about 3 years ago

you guys are so quick to jump on a player, TL has already said they werent planning to drop anyone even if they didnt get to play in iceland.

posted about 3 years ago

They have so much potential its insane, their aim is so crisp and almost unmatched. really excited to see them develop in later events

posted about 3 years ago

Strange games, nearly every 3rd round of the halves were bonus wins. Shit on liquid all you want but they exceeded many peoples expectations, after not even meaning to be here and looking incredibly weak in challengers they put up some good games and results, sad to see them go so early. ZETA look fucking incredible and this is a massive win for JP, hope they can make it even further. No brains will shit on every team no matter how well they do anyways but these 2 teams tried their hardest and thats all you can ask for in a game like Valorant. best of luck to them both, hope they both return to masters 2.

posted about 3 years ago

pretty good for TL, no? they look reasonably good on fracture and good on haven. split is a hit or miss always but ZETA's was a little rough around the edges, wouldve been more scary if ZETA picked icebox imo

posted about 3 years ago

acend, 7-12 comeback on breeze right?

posted about 3 years ago

in the original statement he wasnt allowed to compete in vct until he completed the training, so he most likely wont be able to compete still

posted about 3 years ago

maybe not hard carry but definitely massive reason for their success, been at the top of the leaderboard nearly every series so far and has been crazy impactful on all agents. hes definitely feeling it this tourny, think theyll be able to make a lower bracket run if he keeps up this performance

posted about 3 years ago

its hard to rank the top EMEA teams because of meta change and how small the skill gap is becoming and such, personally i would say GMB is one of the best EMEA teams still. they lost a spot in iceland due to 0.02 seconds and then had to play another bo3 the day after one of the longest matches in VCT history - not to mention they played 6 bo3s in 9 days, thats gonna be hard for any team. also g2 look to be in their peak right now, everything is going right for them and theyre performing amazingly. imo Gmb wouldve been favourites at iceland due to their LAN experience (winning masters berlin, 2nd at champs), theyre undeniably one of the most consistent teams in the world. but i guess we'll see in the next qualifiers if they can stand their ground. (if they can even play)

posted about 3 years ago

hes always been amazing on LAN but holyyy shit hes really showing up this time

posted about 3 years ago

yeah, shit sucks. hope they can make it to next masters and prove themselves again. i would love to see ardiis on LAN

best way to kill CIS and TURKEY imo. too many CIS "superteams" (gambit, fpx, could argue Navi aswell). And BBL or SMB would probably still stop TR qualifiers, weve seen sole TR and CIS teams qualify for masters before through EMEA, no reason to change it now. better to keep them together to keep the competitiveness.

posted about 3 years ago

kinda crazy but hopefully by Champions this year or next year we'll be able to see teams stabilise and stay on top for longer. New meta is fun and all but imo it'd be nice to see a team win more than 1 event

posted about 3 years ago

No, all teams in playoffs currently in this event are all teams (minus liquid, but they technically shouldnt be here) are all different to the teams that were in playoffs in champions. No gambit, acend, c9, x10/XIA etc.

posted about 3 years ago

cater way more to NA still aswell, most later matches go on until early hours of the morning for all of Europe which is crazy considering its literally hosted in Iceland. most of the time its way too late to enjoy the last match of the day without being tired😅

youll come back stronger next tourny ❤ KRU hasnt been to every LAN yet and made it to semi finals at champions for nothing!!

how come you're not allowed to participate from the hotel like at champions? surely they have this all set up already, especially considering aspas has covid
