seen a bunch of tier lists of furia being 12th place when teams like EG, 2G (w/o spike), and KRU exist

hell they might even be able to be better than other tardacious turboshitters like Cloud9

its fun

sort of, but the ping before let you ping the left and the right side, meaning that pros could spray every single spot where they could be defusing. it might not be meta changing but it will definitely be noticable while watching

that they were able to yield 3 main roster players and MIBR only had two

aspas, cortezia, or even xenom instead of sayuri and this game is a 13-3

After two years of competing in Valorant, one of which spent as the face of Esoteric, Chunk "Chunk" Chunk has announced his retirement. The talent will be taking his skills to Fortnite Battle Royale, where he plays for the organization Loonies Toonies. This comes after a dominant performance from the most recent Funhaver Tournament.

Among the initial batch of Fortnite pros that turned to Valorant in its release in 2020, Chunk stood out as one of the most notable faces, as he was one of the few pros with zero racism or homophobia allegations. In the early stages of the game, Chunk was in bronze, yet over time climbed the ranks to his eventual peak, immortal 3, where he would stay until retirement.

Chunk's career in Valorant has been a notable one, from joining his first team, Neglected, to joining Valorant Champions Evil Geniuses over the off season.

Chunk will be missed in the Valorant scene and his legacy will live on as he faces new challenges in Fortnite.

Apeks was his last chance to get into a t1 team for kickoff at the minimum (unless EG does some crazy shit).

Is he washed? Is it a language issue? I didn't think he played that bad this year, and he did win Champions 2021 on an English speaking roster (and coincidentally enough, this entire roster will not be playing in t1 this year).

its more "normal" for teenage girls to be in video games... but young girls? I wouldn't say so at all

posted 8 months ago

also the fact that a lot of these transgender individuals grew up boys in their youth, where they were socially and culturally in a pro-video game environment, versus biological women who typically don't get into shooter games until much older due to societal norms. Your point of confirmation bias is also a great point as well since there are numerous of other transgender pros with less success

gozen were not favourites but they were good i guess but u needa VCT team lmfao.

i usually root for one or two big teams like NRG and a shitty team like MIBR

the whole point is to remove the negative stigma in society around women playing videogames. it may make sense for some people in NA who live in really progressive cities like in LA where it is completely normal to see women playing videogames, but in other parts of NA and the world there is a gender norm of videogames being a thing only for men. Especially videogames at the highest level. Game changers just wants to help bridge that gap, trying to get more women to be fans of esports, which in time, has more women pursuing esports as a job.

It's a long term investment which could pay off well, since the playerbase of shooters could double if theoretically the same amount of women played these games as men.

the argument of "if women aren't good enough they shouldn't play" gets tossed around on VLR a lot but it doesn't make sense logically. If out of 10,000 gamers, 1 of them goes pro, and 95% of them are men, it does not leave a lot of room for women to go pro. It has nothing to do with gender, and everything to do with culture as men play more shooters than women, and they "grind" harder than women since the idea of making it pro seems more realistic to them since women typically are not culturally exposed to these games in an esport context
