I don't think that's fair. Sideshow doesn't have that much worse takes than anybody else. Every analyst, fans, and even pro players, are bad at predicting things. Results in Val and team momentum and form has always been unpredictable. The only difference with Sideshow is that he is more open and confident in his opinions for entertainment value. People are just more in-tune with Sideshows track record because he makes a bigger show of it, but if we look back everybody has similar levels of egg on their face.
APAC/China makes up half the teams dude. That's normal. People are just used to EMEA/America's domination. This is a more even spread.
Every region (except shitmea) has two teams in the playoffs rn tho. Just pretty even.

The format and structure of the tournament does allow for more variance though, so a team doing bad in EWC because EWC sucks is still a little valid.
