^^^^^^^ EDG (as used in your example) were playing as many off season tournaments as possible PLUS practicing like 10 hours a day the whole week. That's gonna cause burnout on anyone. If they were playing more games and practicing less, they would probably be spending less time in the server tbh.

As someone who plays omen a fair bit, he’s gonna be useful for a while yet. The key part of that is the paranoia, it’s just so so strong. Sure the tps are useful, and the smokes are good and allow for some sick one ways, but the flash is really what makes him so good in team play.

That was also the first gf for all of those players, they gained valuable exp, and they’re not gonna choke next time. I believe GenG will make another final this year tbh, and I expect they’ll have a better showing there. It’s apac’s turn to win a trophy.

I’m of the opinion that the top 50 players from each region could be world champion class players, if put in the right situation. To me there’s only 5-10 who are genuinely a step above (I would say Aspas, Less, Zekken, Saadhak, f0rsaken, jingg and a few more). Those 5-10 are nearly irreplaceable players, and I’d guess there’s more like them in t1 AND t2, except they’ve never had the chance to show it in the right team.

I think PRX will be a gagillion times better by shanghai than they were here. It's the diff between Tokyo and champs last year. I also trust GenG to maintain that form; they weren't streaky or anything, they were just that good. Plus T1, RRQ, even TS and Talon showed moments of good play. Apac will be very strong at shanghai, the only issue is other regions might improve just as much if not more.

Figure skating, those athletes get one shot for their program, and if they fuck up that’s it. Fencing: it’s a 64 player bracket single elim tourney. Would you call every one of those competitors flukers?? It’s stupid to hate on Madrid, and sen won at the end of the day. No tournament will be perfect, and they played well.

Idk if ppl are calling it a fluke bc of who qualified, the way the Swiss and playoff stages were organized was perfect. Every team had chances to make it, and we really did get the best teams in playoffs, and the grand final. SEN deserved that win, props to them. Hoping we get this format again!
