It probably will be faster than wifi (definitely in certain places), but not ethernet and other hardwired connections. The big advantage of starlink is it can send data to places that currently can't get any because there's no cell phone towers/cables there.

This is absolute cap. Modern day internet infrastructure involves trillions of feet of fiber optic cables under oceans and land connected to hundreds of thousands of server buildings. No satalite can be faster than that because of the time it physically takes to send information to orbit and back. There's a reason ethernet is much faster than wifi, which in turn is faster than cell towers, which is faster than satalite.

The first point is definitely not true in NA. TSM, Faze, NRG, Ghost, these are all importnat teams in NA that very likely will not make franchising.

It will seem awful at first because we will lose a ton of teams, and great players will have nowhere to go, but in 5-10 years, we'll remember pre-franchising like the "immature days" of Valorant. I think we'll get a lot more matches too so that'll be really nice.

I think MCE deserves to be on there, he took a team of unknown nobodies and led them to win NA stage 1. Yes the guard hit a really rough patch after, but that’s still a massive accomplishment.

I really want to like fnatic because they all seem like nice guys and they’re genuinely a very good team, but the amount of crazy EU fans who’ve switched to fnatic flairs just when they became a good team piss me off. It’s like they genuinely think this team is invincible and EMEA deserves to be better than everywhere else. I want to see fnatic do well for the players sake (they’ve put the work in), but at the same time I want them to lose just so the fans stop being annoying.

In terms of viewership and production ABSOLUTELY. In terms of top teams, not quite yet. I think only NA and EU are "major" regions at the moment, but I have really high hopes for every other region in franchising.
