SPITFIRE?? Bro ain’t even playing in a competitive region 😭. Plus fengf + zmjkk solo
These days the meta is pretty heavily double initiator. It makes sense for Ethan to be flash initiator, but that means there isn’t anyone else for the second initiator role.
ok he doesn't put up crazy numbers but that guy's doing the opposite of baiting. he gets sent in with very little util most rounds
Or better yet, get Jaw + Potter, let potter rebuild with some cash for once
Jawgemo to G2 and they don’t drop a map next year
He was insane. For context, everyone today thinks about Aspas as the GOAT, but Yay was the one guy in 2022 who could diff him reliably (until grand champs final). Keep in mind this guy was putting up superstar consistency against a LOUD with Aspas, Less, Pancada, Sacy, and Saadhak, which would still be a superteam today. He diffed literally everyone, people would see a team go towards his site, and be like ok round’s over,
He’s the best in the world for 3 games a year, that’s it
Ubershouts is the goat and honestly wyatt isn't that bad
nah like 90% of NA will want him. C9, EG, NRG, even 100T maybe.
Actual travesty, praying on C9’s downfall.
REAL, I get weirded tf out by randos acting like they're on the team (sen + 100T fans are especially bad at this)
He's a system player, and this system isn't good for him. That doesn't mean he's not a tier 1 player: he definitely is
Jaw with 31-6 fk to fd this split….
I like to watch comfort shows, listen to music, or obsessively follow valorant (why I'm here lmfaooo)
I could very easily see Sentinels, GenG, and Heretics in the top 3 of champs (and personally I’d pred Heretics to win). That’s insane consistency for the top teams, akin to Loud, Optic, and DRX in 2022. Yes sentinels missed out on Shanghai, and yes TH went out in two with a sub at Madrid, but it’s still pretty impressive.
Nah he's doing his degree. He ain't rejoining esports unless it gets a lot more stable.
Id say the talent depth for North America is pretty insane. For me, the big difference is European teams are mostly committed to a lot of structure while NA teams are better midrounders and are more flexible in most metas.
I think it’s pretty apparent that LEV isn’t gonna win a tournament. So here’s the idea, over the off season, Aspas goes back to LOUD and then we get 2022 Loud but with Cauanzin instead of Sacy. That team would fry Americas.
But let’s take it one step further. Let’s say Ethan on NRG doesn’t work out, and Yay becomes available. Boom we get 2022 Optic but with s0m instead of marved. The true el Classico returns.
Champs 2021 sucked except for Kru's run imo
I loved gmb nats in Berlin, and Yay + Envy upsetting sentinels.
Still, I think Reykjavik 2021 was a good tournament. You had the crazy comeback on fracture with Optic vs TGRD, Loud looking scary on international after going undefeated in Brazil, Zeta pulling the craziest turnaround of ANY team at a masters so far, and the beginning of the El Classico rivalry. The only thing missing was FPX bc of the stupid visa issues.
New igl, new player as of like yesterday. Unfortunate but they’re leading by points significantly so they’ll be alright
I agree, prime Optic, prime Loud, fnatic vs M3C in EMEA, DRX got third at champs, and PRX and FPX went crazy at Copenhagen. Plus we had open quals still, which gave us upstarts like TGRD. Felt like such a good year.
You’re so right I should change my flair immediately
They’d need to beat 100T, then either Heretics or Fut (prob heretics if they’re not boomed from today), then G2 and GenG, one in the lower and one in the upper. It’s a hard route, but if they get back into kickoff form, which they seemed to be trending towards, there’s a good chance they win this tournament after all.
Hoping for a PRX v GenG final so APAC can finally have a deserved trophy!
Genuinely possible, I'm a big fan of the revenge narrative. That being said, nahhh
Verno, Brawk, BCJ, bob are all good contenders from challengers
Ya true, when I was living in Japan champs was pretty hard to watch
Honestly I liked him, seemed like a chill dude
Maybe suygetsu (breeze 2022) but really not much, it’s just wack to hate ppl you don’t know
This is the only one I agree with, dudes a pedo
They go outside lowk, imagine that
Malazan is long for sure, but it’s definitely not boring I would say. Wheel of time bored me to tears for the middle 4-5 books, malazan did not.
I read the core 10 in a month lmaooo, I was staying up every night to just read more and more.
You’re absolutely right it’s jarring, but I don’t believe you need to be a fantasy lover to get into it. The focus on cultural history and the depths of humanity, plus it’s insight into early peoples appeals beyond the genre I’d say.
If you care about fantasy mostly for quantifiable magic and inventive mystical worlds, Brandon Sanderson’s books are the way to go.
If you care about fantasy as a mirror for culture studies and human society, Malazan is the best ever written.
