On this rare occasion haha <3
Phoenix / yoru
Examples of negative tweets n statements?
Not disputing, just curious cus I haven't seen any
Rest assured.
The only people will actually hate and abuse a team because they lose or don't play well are idiots whose opinions do not matter.
Awesome
I'm waiting for a ridiculous Danish superteam to come out of nowhere and start wrecking everybody
i mean i knew the community was soft as shit, but if it's about their banter all i can do is lol
there's nothing factual about a bunch of opinions that agree with each other. Just because it's consensus doesn't mean it's fact.
Spare yourself the emotional rollercoaster and be a neutral
why so much SEN hate, what did I miss?
There isn't a single NA vs EMEA matchup that is easy to call in champs. I'd give them allm 50/50 at best
It is the most competitive group, but not a group of death by any means.
That's fine. As long as there's some kind of double elim for groups.
Yeah bro, it doesn't mean much at all. That's how Valorant works. It's full of triangle matchups. Every singgle tournament without fail. So you can't take much away from individual results.
A > B
C < B
C > A
Happens all the time.
True, but people really need to get over 13-0s in Valorant.
The game is massively momentum based, more so than CSGO, especially as it's MR12.
Teams of a higher caliber than these 2 are getting 13-0d guys, it's not allllll that insane.
G2 vs Gambit
Gambit vs Acend
Rise vs C9.
This. Shit. Happens.
The players that will do well and win shit move on from these results.
over, boomed, exploded, done with.
I'm exaggerating of course though.
Why are people acting this match was expected to be competitive? Ping or not, PRX are a different tier to South Asian teams. It's not that deep.
They put up solid performance Vs VS and SMB on LAN, they're hardly going to struggle with these guys. Face le facts.
Cheetohs n coke lmao xD
That region is kaput now? Interested to see how KR looks in 2022. If the scene survives that is.
Thanks for explaining. I always wondered what that shit was
Ya it's just a poorly written section. Double elim tournament means many things, so it might as well say nothing at all.
bruh we literally just had Redbull Home grounds and LVP Rising 2
Except no one asked you.
alot of teams (Brazilian included) have already flown over to Europe so that they can bootcamp and prepare for Champions in Berlin.
I think you're confusing fans wanting them to win vs people actually saying they're favourites. I don't see any clear favorite in Champs atm because Valorant is too swingy and unpredictable.
Yes Liquid are in great form, but I don't think anyone reasonable is saying they are the FAVOURITES to win.
I'm too old to understand what this ratio shit is. All I know is that this was funny as fuck xD
Just tryna spread the good word brother
Teams that deserve you'd like to see but they still fell short.
The art of managing your expectations. Master this and supporting them will be easy
Yeah it's a rhetorical question really. I'm just really impressed with what they put together for "tier 2" tournament.
More of this is what the game needs.
I mostly agree. Valorant has all the makings of what would be the dominant future game. global appeal, unique agents, no "terrorists" Vs "CTs", strong development in female scene etc. But we just have to see how it pans out.
When csgo first came out its fsnbase divided between a CS:Source and even a fair amount of CS 1.6. it's also a different time, content and streaming carries Valorant heavily, but these things didn't really exist much back in 2012.
For those of you who didn't see / know / care. The finals were LAN, Acend vs Movistar Riders.
The production was well done and there was a crowd. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1204368169?t=1h40m54s
How dafuq did NA LCQ not manage this?
In a way, I agree with you. but at the same time, we as the public don't really know what the actual targets and KPIs are that Riot want to see from the game in year 1.
For all we know, it might still be exceeding what they forcasted. There's no telling.
If we see Riot treat the game, the tourney circuit and the scene poorly in 2022, we can probably assume they're looking at Valorant as a flop (assuming they're not incompetent). If we see them continue to invest in the game and develop these things exponentially, then we can assume that all is going to plan on their end and they're happy with the numbers.
All assumptions though.
Yeah I think you need to read my post again. Not sure why you're replying to me with that.
If by "You guys" you mean the org owners in NA. It's simple
bigger names = more impressions
more impressions = more revenue.
Also there's a strong mentality especially in NA that leans towards picking "proven" players with a track record, rather than gambling on someone with potential. I mean most sports are kind of that way anyway. eSports is behind of course, but you can see it's changing, more and more academy teams. coming up.
I agree with you. I'm not saying he's definitely bound for a return to CS, but I'm making the case clear that him returning to CSGO is actually not a wild take when you factor what a competitive year looks like for tier 1 NA player who has the choice between both games.
If wages in both games are the same, then CSGO probably wins it on the money front anyway just because there're far more opportunities to make a bonus from tournaments.
nah it didn't. Only Iceland cracked a millie
LOL
and when Yinsu asked him what are his thoughts on playing GUILD tomorrow:
L1NK: "I think it's FREE... Like VERY Free"
yeah bro, like the dude above me said. Riot has fucked shit up, but EMEA is definitely NOT the most screwed region haha.
OCE, South Asia to name a few?
yeah dude relax. The Nitr0 thing if true only really applies to NA CS PROs.
If any current Valorant Pros wanted to return to CS with the insane level of competition to get into an EMEA team, all I would say is goodluck lol.
The difference between someone like Jamppi and nitr0 is Jamppi's pro career in CSGO never really took off, for reasons out of his control.
nitr0 on the other hand was solidified at the top level in NA and the NA scene is WEAK in CSGO, so he could actually find a team.
