one of the smartest DRX moves was back in Vision Strikers putting a Jett main Mako on a controller role and he became arguably the best player.

Since then S0m has moved from Jett main to controller, a move that was heavy doubted by the community at the time. Monyet also was a star duelist that moved to controller.

In the middle of the season EG decided to put their star duelist Jawgemo on controller on most maps to have another very strong aimer (Demon1) on the main star duelist role.

Why is this good and why do teams keep doing this? Why does this keep being succesfull?

i like how people say group D is group of death because of name value but group A is the actual group of death. Giants clear Navi. Kru clear those DRX frauds. EDG in lock in literally just cleared Loud and PRX (the team that got 3rd with a sub) clears Liquid with Something. The only one you can argue is the Liquid over PRX but the other 3 are quite factual

i also agree with that, at worse you sign the whole m80 and zekken floating 6th and integrate him in the 5 with time. But in terms of pure mechanical skill+ top level agent pool, there isnt as good of a player as Zekken in North America

while it sounds good, there is no way you can say anyone on that m80 team is better than zekken or prime sacy

i wish pacific and americas had the play in's, so unfair for 2nd or 3rd best teams to get out when the average of the region they needed to get out of is so high. teams like Jadeite (Japan) Moist (NA) are higher level than the average of their ascensions. Even some teams that didnt make into playins like some turkish teams are higher than the average emea imo.

look at Focus now from making from play ins. some regions are too strong to have 1 team @Sliggytv

especially Art, a top fragging igl as a smokes player, franchizing teams should be all over him. Jadeite has been talked about by so many tier 1 teams as demons at scrims and they dominated the whole season and lost in a grand final to SCARZ, who potentially look like the most convincing team in Ascension to make it out to Tier 1. teams like DFM should be all over their players. i just hope they get what they deserve because 1 map away from ascension is heartbraking and the players have the quality.

EG had the lowest odds ever in the grind final of international valorant match so as sad as it might feel for them, they should be proud, ranked 9th in the league to qualifying on 4-5 record on round difference because of a knife kill by a team that lost pretty much every game after first 3 games.

Apart from the PRX game, they had lower odds by bookies to win every single game against their oponent, against FUT, against DRX, against LOUD, against Liquid and against FNATIC twice.

Ethan proved he is truly tier 1, C0m stepped up his clutch rate and playing under high pressure situations, Jawgemo truly kept winning his 1v1, BOSSTIO ABSOLUTELY DESTROYED the whole tourney with his IGL'ing and fraggin and Demon1 ever since upper finals just turned the fuck up. Potter proved some armchair analysts wrong and they should be proud.

but FNATIC is a legacy team and until someone makes such a fragging roster with a really good igl like they did, they will keep being at the top.

i support Aardis so im kind of an NA fan and i like the NA personalities more. but i just hate the insane narratives that NA region is way worse and EU region is insane, all EU casters said that all 4 EU teams will make it out of groups and even be the top seeds with FUT beating EG and NAVI beating NRG. sometimes it feels like they live on some sort of cloud

cant wait for NA to get 2 best teams, then lose to them and then everyone suddenly says NA sucked all along, eh whatever
