being a valorant fan living in japan sucks :(
I've missed most of the tournament so far because I have university and can't sit up all night to watch the games

a year ago his stream used to go from 6k viewers when he played cs to 3-4k when he played valorant. he definitely deserves the viewership considering he is better than at least 95% of the pros in the game and also has one of the best, if not the best personality out of all of the streamers in NA valorant

the streams with stew and m0e on cs were much funnier than tarik's recent streams, even though his recent streams are good too

tarik + stew + m0e = best content

only players that were considered tier 1 at the moment they switched were Nivera, Ethan and Nitr0. Jamppi is also debatable

He was very underrated in EU due to NiP not consistently being a top 5 team, but he was easily at least a top 20 player in the region. One of the best razes imo, but he would flex to any agents NiP wanted him to play and play said agent to a high level. He also has really good mechanics

rhyme in Gen.G
FPX in better tournaments
new 100t
LOUD
TSM
Fnatic with their new fifth
Guild in better tournaments
T1 and the Guard's progression as rosters

C9 imo, but the number 1 spot will definitely be more competitive this year

I think that Gen.G can get top 5 in the region now that they have rhyme now though, I'm excited to see that roster

you want to see the best teams in the world play right? most of those teams are in EMEA

he was also the main person creating strats for the team for a long time so it makes sense that he is getting criticised for streaming all day, while other IGLs would be VOD reviewing

compare that 'rigorous schedule' to other games, valorant is lacking in terms of big tournaments greatly and no teams really have a 'rigorous schedule' except maybe teams like Gambit and Vision Strikers that were practicing all day

also streaming is completely optional. Shahzam has been streaming like 10 hours a day this whole year which is insane considering that he is meant to be the IGL of the team. It's also clear that Shahzam does streaming for the money (he has often complained about losing money as he can't stream as much when he was in Europe lol), which makes sense as he can make bank for playing a video game all day, but it doesn't look good when Sentinels have did shit internationally for most of the year after Iceland

rigorous schedule? LMAO

what do you mean by moderate tier 2 success? they consistently lose to tier 3 teams nevermind tier 2 teams

posted about 2 years ago

viewership is good but I doubt valorant will overtake cs

posted about 2 years ago

Shahzam, Steel, FNS, Vanity, Dephh are the only relevant IGLs as of now
Poised has looked decent

i want to see the new NiP and Mibr teams

...then who would IGL? Ec1s would be a much better move than seven

Brehze will be one of the best players in NA, similarly to how Ethan became a top 10 player in the region quickly. At Brehze's peak he was rated the 8th best player in the world iirc in 2019 while Ethan was ranked 20th. He is known for having really nice aim and will easily be an amazing pick-up

Ec1s has been average though his IGLing abilities have definitely improved since his first stint as IGL on Liquid, and it seems that he's been just a better all round player too. NA has a lack of IGLs and the decent ones are probably on teams with stupid buyouts
