im confused how does it work? how did MIBR make it to champs if they have 9 points? NRG and C9 both have 9 points but should get more since they'll place 4th/3rd which will give them at least 3 points

is there a way to keep track of champs points? like is there a ranking for it or something

why do we have teams that already made it to champs eliminating teams from making champs?
