lol you think cNed wants to participate in the shitshow of a team that is Giants? Navi might have been grouped twice now but they're the only team that there's hope for in all the grouped EMEA teams

LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO? ALL ROTATE AFTER KJ ULT? NO WAY IT'S THAT EZ

They make things the most interesting after Fnatic but in the end they still lose just as you'd expect lmao

We no longer have to watch these clowns play. Such a waste of time to watch an EMEA team when it's not Fnatic zz

I have the stream on the side whilst I do some work but why is LOUD playing with this comp on Pearl? It's like they want to lose this map. Weren't they the founding fathers of Viper/Harbor in general/on this map especially?

100T's win con vs Acend at Masters Berlin was to literally avoid cNed altogether

You are either very misinformed or simply pushing the typical EMEA > Americas agenda because it is impossible for anyone sound to say that Americas is a 0-team region when we have LOUD and NRG, whom have been title contenders at nearly all international events. Both teams' international performances are better or as good as the teams you have listed. Going by your logic, LOUD clocking out of this event early doesn't mean they're shit if NAVI went through the same process and they're excused. Don't discredit our teams when you have no reason to

EDIT: Saw this dude's recent thread and he's doing the latter, to no one's surprise

He's not even the best player on EG. But for what it's worth, I don't recall seeing anyone use Jett knives as proficiently as him on the international stage

It's best not to make threads about them since it's obvious they want & love the attention

Is it too hard to say that EG is simply playing a better Split than FNC at the moment?

posted 10 months ago

As expected, an FNC masterclass on Lotus. I'd say they're the best team on it and it went through over Bind when EG has had decent results on Bind domestically but for some reason, it's their perma-ban at this event. Surely EG would've secured more than 3 rounds on Bind. Now to see if EG can replicate a masterclass on Fracture though like I mentioned earlier, FNC aren't stupid enough to let Fracture through if they don't have a game plan. It can also be very challenging for EG to bounce back after this domination but I'm sure that playing on their playground alleviates a lot of that pressure so their mentals are reset

Here are some stats and other stuff, as you ordered:

EG have won 81.25% of their Pistol rounds at this event as of right now. That's anywhere between two to four free rounds for them on any map. FNC are also notoriously bad at Pistol rounds
EG have not been down in a half yet, as their worst half was on Lotus against FUT at 6-6 a piece. One thing to note is that FUT have played Lotus 13 times whereas EG have only played it 3 times
EG's best map is undoubtedly Fracture on which they are currently 3-0 on at this event with a 73.58% Round WR across the board. LOUD takes away 11.2% off this number as they have won 7 rounds against EG on Fracture whereas both DRX and TL have won a combined total of 7 themselves vs EG
EG's worst map statistically is Haven, on which they have a 42% WR. Despite that, they were able to beat TL on it. That same TL destroyed FNC on it with the final result being 13-6
EG is in a tough spot right from the beginning because their perma-ban has been Bind, which FNC dominated NRG on and the NRG core was once known to be the best team in the world on it. At the same time, they have to get rid of Lotus. So I wonder which one they'll ban first. Regardless, FNC's first map pick will be either one. Personally, I think EG have more of a chance, at least statistically, on Bind than they do on Lotus. FNC is 10-1 on Lotus. Yes, EG was able to win against FUT on it but it went to OT. That same FUT managed to only get 5 rounds against FNC on Lotus
I can see FNC throwing us a curveball and letting Pearl through, which has been their perma-ban. EG isn't great on it, they've only played it 6 times. FNC's first map ban will either be Fracture or Pearl. FNC isn't stupid enough to let Fracture go through (if they continue to perma-ban Pearl) without having a concrete game plan therefore I don't think Fracture is a stomp for EG

EG is only favored on Fracture due to their insane momentum on it whereas FNC have a default win on Lotus and a more than likely win on Bind. Every other map can go either way

Oh, absolutely. I just think it's too early to say that EG is an overall better team than LOUD when the latter have cemented themselves as one of the best teams in the world whereas EG is a new contender both domestically and internationally. But yes, EG is 101% better than LOUD at this event and our best Americas team right now as well. LOUD will bounce back, but EG will remain a force to be reckoned with that will go toe to toe with LOUD, just like NRG can

posted 10 months ago

You can't do LOUD like that even after their showing here in Tokyo; they're still them & they'll be back stronger, no doubt.

Americas: LOUD, EG, NRG, C9, FURIA/100T/SEN in no specific order
EMEA: FNC, TL, NAVI/FUT, Giants, VIT
APAC: PRX, DRX, T1, TS/GEN, ZETA
CN: EDG, BLG, ASE, FPX, ?

If I may, on behalf of all of vlr, we thank you for your input, shizuku_hajime.

Winning a domestic title doesn't mean anything for the NRG core as their worst placement at an international event has been 9th with their second worst placement being 3rd. That's out of 5 international events and they've won one. They are title contenders at every event for that reason, but I don't think it will be this one particularly. EG and FNC are looking in top form, whilst NRG looks a bit shaky but even then they're good enough for Top 4, so that should speak for itself. Top 3 should be guaranteed for them even if the last time they played against PRX, they got absolutely dominated; NRG core is known for not losing the rematch

posted 10 months ago

I'd say it's because the heavy hitters and title contenders didn't show up and thus earned themselves an early exit (NAVI, LOUD, DRX). TL, despite being EMEA's 1st Seed, didn't have a great showing either. NRG have been inconsistent in their matches even if they've secured a Top 4. PRX is missing something and people were excited to see him on the international stage. EG and FNC matches have been an absolute stomp with no real competition in sight except their own matchup as they seem so far ahead of every other team at this event. The only team that's been a pleasure to watch is EDG because they were heavy underdogs with something to prove and that's exactly what they did. So now the only thing that's left really is this EG vs FNC matchup which should be the best match in this event, assuming it's not a stomp for either side which I don't believe it will be. Regardless of which team comes out on top in the NRG vs PRX matchup, they both should lose the next match. EG is the unstoppable force whilst FNATIC is the immovable object. It's an even worse scenario if PRX wins against NRG and FNATIC loses against EG because then PRX will get stomped by them, again. The GF is realistically an EG vs FNC rematch

posted 10 months ago

For an NA vs NA GF, NRG would first have to beat PRX whom are actually looking decent even without something, so the match could go either way but I'd say NRG are the favorites to take it even if they're wildly inconsistent right now due to something not being able to attend. And then whichever team NRG end up against, that should be the end of the road for them. It's the same narrative for PRX if they win against NRG. EG is the unstoppable force whilst FNATIC is the immovable object, so personally I think that it will be an EG vs FNC rematch

In 6 matches & 15 maps, EDG ZmjjKK achieved:

329 Kills (+75)
82 First Kills (+28)
96 OP Kills (29.17% of Kills)
274 ACS
34.85% of EDG's Total Kills
A 1.16 Rating

As a comparison, here's what OpTic yay's, the player that was considered the best in the world at the time, Champions 2022 run looks like:

382 Kills (+144) (19 maps) - 307 Kills (+69) (15 maps)
80 First Kills (+28) (19 maps) - 65 First Kills (+22) (15 maps)
107 OP Kills (28.01% of Kills) (19 maps) - 82 OP Kills (26.71% of Kills) (15 maps)
262 ACS (19 maps) - 258 ACS (15 maps)
37.38% of OpTic's Total Kills (19 maps) - 37.71% of OpTic's Total Kills (15 maps)
A 1.30 Rating (19 maps) - A 1.29 Rating (15 maps)

So, there you have it. Overall, great showing by EDG as they've beaten an EMEA titan that is NAVI, comfortably beat the powerhouse that is LOUD and have even gone toe to toe with the EMEA 1st Seed that is TL. ZmjjKK may not have earned GOAT status like yay has but he's a very promising duelist who's able to compete on the international stage against some of the best teams and players. Guy's got a bright future just up ahead
