He's a clown, their arrogance cost them. I do think Fnatic is a better team in terms of strats and adjustments midgame so hopefully we see a good version of both teams next match.

First loss for current Liquid squad on Ascent, right?

Guess that's what you get with the "puggy" playstyle right?

Look for all the bs from both EU and NA fans the reality is that the margins are very close between these regions. I do think TL will take map 2 but you should never underestimate anyone.

Umm you see that all the time at this level, it's a common tactic.

posted about 2 years ago

They won anyways so it's whatever at this point.

You can't compare the two situations for the reason pewpew lists. Not a well thought out take.

That's what I thought too but the GL Sharks match was ugly to watch. Will check out Vikings though at some point, they sound promising.

Mate, BR fans are in for a whole lot of hurt, some of the rush in executes and dry peeking are simply embarrassing.

Umm what world are you living in? Last time I checked, he and Kyedae are already figuring out whether to fly first class or not to Reykjavik.

The second round on attack and Viper pit near the end.

You got your wish a couple of times ;)

Split was too so not a big deal. No way an early game comp can crack a KJ, Astra, Breach lineup on attack.

Ya you have to give mad props to C9, they definitely are an elite team now.

I don't think any region will necessarily destroy the other, it's gonna come down to matchups ultimately. Where I think SEN can benefit is 1) they will have a lot of VOD on their opponents who also had to go through Challengers in other regions and 2) they don't have a recognizable style of play they absolutely try to stick to. Take the 13-1 on Split, ShahZam just said in the interview that they already feel like they have the answer to crack the defense the next time they play C9. I wouldn't be shocked to see completely different agent lineups from them in Iceland as they constantly are reinventing themselves.

posted about 3 years ago

Ya I thought they had SEN before that point and then they managed to completely throw it away in that situation.

posted about 3 years ago

You do realize SEN perma ban Bind too right? It's not a good look regardless.

posted about 3 years ago

C9 would lose to NV, people seriously underestimate NV in early round matchups.

posted about 3 years ago

I don't even think there is one great NA team. Whoever wins Challengers finals probably won't qualify for the next one at this rate.

Interesting, Zombs played Astra on Split.

Barely beat 100T? Are you smoking something?

posted about 3 years ago

If sinatraa was playing it would be 2-0 SEN but now that it turns out he's a POS it's likely the other way considering the lack of time TenZ has had to mesh with the others.

posted about 3 years ago

This should be 3-0 NV. SEN will need to go back to drawing board to counter NV in the future. NV basically predicting everything SEN will try to do at the moment.

Without ShoT_UP this could have been a massacre. Very good player, maybe the best pure aimer right now?

EDIT: Should have clarified that only saying this for NA alone.

Two best teams in NA with 100T dropping off. Will be an interesting match.

IMT had maybe, 4 to 6 rounds of control the entire series? Today was a SEN masterclass across two matches against two very good teams. They just seem to adjust on the fly and correct their mistakes better than other teams.

posted about 3 years ago

To be fair though, SEN did annihilate IMT last week. But what you say is probably right. I like NV a lot from a tactical perspective.

posted about 3 years ago

I wonder what people make of ShahZam claiming that IMT are one of the tactically weaker teams in his post game interview a week ago. Haven't seen IMT play a lot but they seem to be maintaining their success of late.

posted about 3 years ago

Glad to see NV putting it all together. They showed great control and arguably should have won Icebox too. It will be interesting to see how Sen gamelan for their next encounter but I'm sure they will come up with something.

Plus what about ScreaM and m1xwell? Just look at the stats on this website over past 90 days.

posted about 3 years ago

Overreaction for sure but I thought the way they lost against both LG and SEN was quite concerning. They just seem to be a step or two behind at the moment from a tactical perspective. At this level you can't just rely on skills and clutches.

posted about 3 years ago

Being a top 6 team isn't a great achievement though. More important to be a top 3 team.

posted about 3 years ago

Anyone else think 100T was found lacking in terms of tactics today? LG calmly picked them apart on the last 2 maps. Hiko seemed like he was always a step behind in the info battle and it showed in his performance. 100T also couldn't bail themselves out with clutches like they often do.

Never put Asuna on sage again, what a waste of talent. Scoreboard doesn't lie...

Gotta give credit to Sentinels, they have been the only team from the pre first strike scene to successfully reinvent themselves over and over again. Even the likes of G2 have replaced players and fallen off recently.

posted about 3 years ago

Na I've seen them erase leads many times, they always fight to the end. Their strats have gotten stale though, think it's time for them to bring in a coach like others have mentioned.

posted about 3 years ago

Ya I think NV are progressing well and having multiple go to agent combos will be essential for them to take that next step.

posted about 3 years ago

That play by sinatraa at 11-11 on Split down one man on the retake shows why he's world class. Could only imagine how much that must have mentally crushed NV in that moment.

posted about 3 years ago

Another classic from these two teams. GG to both.

posted about 3 years ago

T1 is the perfect example why you can't use "executes" as a measure of a team's ability. Any team can read T1 like a book if they stick to pre-programmed maneuvers, the VOD on all of the teams is plenty at this point. That's why T1 started off so hot and then got decimated against 100T. It's not rocket science.

posted about 3 years ago

You're a clown, Heretics won today without any real tactical nous, largely due to "pug" qualities i.e. players clutching. You clearly have an agenda. Any good team at this level needs to be able to adjust on the fly and go away from preset executes and other tactical plays. Sentinels is the best and most consistent at this between NA and EU.

posted about 3 years ago

What are you talking about? 100T has lost to TSM, Cloud9, and Envy during First Strike.

posted about 3 years ago

I'm sorry but this is a stupid take. I've watched most of the NA and EU matches and there is no comparison, the quality of teams in NA in every aspect is superior on average. With that said, G2 is the best team for me.
