i think that short time is exactly what got them. having such a short turnaround and with johnqt's visa issues they barely had any time to practice and expand their small map pool for stage 1. although it doesn't magically excuse their entire performance, it's probably what kept them from winning some maps

i love sen and still think they're the best team in the world, but even if this isn't the same stakes as masters finals letting aspas completely ruin your team like that is something to be noted. less of a "sen washed" thing and more of a "get aspas on a decent fucking team" thing
