definitely a final to be remembered, but of course, map 3 stood out as possibly the most harrowing map of valorant i have ever witnessed in pro play (especially since it followed 2 extremely dire maps). by the end of the first half i was desperate to see fnatic bring some more energy to the game and bounce back. to be in that position on the edge of the cliff and still give it your all shows so much resilience from fnc and especially boaster as an igl. as crushed as i felt watching, they must have felt one billion times the pressure and still managed to power through.
overall, it was a fun finals to watch (well, mostly the last 3 maps) and we got to see a lot of interesting things coming out from both teams, including alfa's diabolical sage gameplay and ethan popping tf off on breach (hello??) the beef was unreal and ive never seen so much swearing or emotes on a finals stage. the paris crowd was amazing (all hype and no BM) and ofc, production, desk talent and casters were excellent as usual.
another great year of valorant. guess ill just have to wait for gcc to get my next fix
