initiators absolutely matter lmfao any decent enemy with a brain will just play hard corners when u dont have like a fade skye sova etc
u would have to MANUALLY check with your body EVERY SINGLE corner and thats gonna be a hella pain in the ass to do
this is how i know ur not high elo an initiator absolutely matters try playing split or ascent without an initiator for example and see how hard it is to clear those corners that normally u drone

realstically the duelist's role is to entry site and create space, but because meta duelists have an escape ability or (like jett dash) they are set up by their teammates to take more duels because they are untradable. they also have a lot more self-suffcient util for them to frag out

more duels = more kills = people think theyre better
also it feeds into the steryotypes of instalock reynas and jetts in ranked that usually just frag out
