Instead of doing a split with playoffs they are using this MSI tourney which doesn't reward the overall split winner. Right now if G2, who won their group with the same record as M80, beat M80 in the grand-finals, M80 would still have more circuit points than them. Giving 20 points to teams based on group stage doesn't make sense. Wouldn't it just be easier to give higher seeding to the 1st place teams in the group? Then whoever wins the playoffs gets most points. This is how its being done in EMEA and its a way better format.
