If simply saying ‘women’ ( not w#man) counts as toxic, that’s pretty wild. And even if someone thought it was inappropriate, a long-term ban over it feels excessive — especially since it was probably just an automatic ban, not even reviewed by a person.
Sure, it’s ‘just’ a Twitch ban. But if we keep minimizing things like this, there’s never going to be any real improvement
Situations like this just undermine the system they promote as being about rights and clear rules. It feels ironic that everything is framed around fairness and inclusivity, yet someone can get banned for months over a single non-offensive word.
It’s a bit ironic that Riot talks so much about rights and fairness, yet in situations like this it feels like those principles don’t really apply.
I’m not giving up that easily — I just want a fair outcome :D
I know I can watch through big streamers, but what I really want to know is how I can get unbanned from the official channel. Being banned for months over a single word honestly feels like a joke.
hey guys!!
I ran into an issue back in the autumn where I received what was most likely an automatic ban from the official Valorant Twitch channel for a single word ( women). The ban was supposed to expire in December, but I’m still banned, which means I can’t watch the channel or follow the events there.
The problem is, I also can’t get in touch with any moderators. Twitch Support suggested that I contact a Valorant moderator directly, but since I’m banned, I have no way of reaching anyone.
I’d really appreciate any help with this, especially since I’ve been following and supporting the channel for years (around five years now).I don’t think it’s fair that I’m still banned for this long over a single word.
Honestly, I’d be happiest if a moderator could just see this message and help out. my name is: ryzy07
Thanks!!
yeah it was Game Changers... and i get banned for 1 month... but now it is march...
You’re right, but I would like to know how I can get the Twitch ban lifted — especially considering I’ve been following the channel for years and was banned over a single word.
Women’s matches were being streamed, and I was instantly banned just for that one word — even though I’ve been following the channel for years.
I’ve been following and supporting the channel for years, and I would really like to watch the World Championship on the official stream. Also, since I’m banned in chat, I’m concerned this might affect my ability to receive drops.
I was banned for one month from the official Valorant Twitch channel back in the fall for typing the single word “woman.” The ban was supposed to expire in December, but now it’s the end of February and I’m still banned.
I would really like to watch the World Championship on the official channel. Does anyone know how I can get this ban lifted, or is there a contact person I can reach out to regarding this?
my twitch name: ryzy07
Thanks for the help!
