1. James_ff, a regular poster of potential Valorant roster moves on VLR replies to George Geddes on Twitter saying "vlr knew it first" to NRG making a roster overhaul to which George replies "if you take that website seriously please seek help"
2. James_ff makes a Twitter to report the moves himself
3. James_ff in his 2nd Twitter post ever puts out information about trials that was later proven not factual when presented as such
4. George Geddes responds with "lol" to the James_ff Twitter post about said trials
5. ds_santos(Eutalyx) posts on Twitter that James_ff is "lowering the bar for esports journalists" and calls him a "forum and basement dweller"
6. VLR posters got mad at George and made a thread about it on VLR, ds_santos also known as Eutalyx posted in the thread saying "James is an absolute clown" to the outrage of VLR
7. James_ff then posted on VLR calling George out for his reply to the Twitter post and VLR rallied behind him
8. VLR thread was made calling out ds_santos (Eutalyx) for what they said about James_ff
9. Hudsen posts on the ds_santos VLR thread saying that James_ff isn't doing "journalism" but rather "investigative content creation" since he is being nosy rather than being in the know
10. Hudsen posts on Twitter that "you can't make people understand something they have no desire to comprehend" after posting his comments on the VLR thread
11. Hudsen clarifies that adding context and background is what bridges "investigative content creation" vs "journalism"
12. ds_santos (Eutalyx) posts on Twitter that this is "the modern esports journalist's downfall" in a sarcasm filled Tweet citing comments and posts made by VLR users
13. Ferahgo posts a VLR thread about James_ff where Ferahgo encourages James_ff's posts and states that the reason journalists are pissed off comes down to that larger journalists only post stuff they know is 100% correct and is verifiable and work very hard to do so which James is not doing
14. James_ff made a VLR thread responding to everything stating that he is thankful for the help but didn't want to create drama and will continue his work along with stating yay reached out with information regarding the team members he was playing with

by the way, reporting is all based on you having connections. George is only a "good" reporter because he has them, and james_ff does not YET. But james_ff from what we've seen has a great personality and is willing to work hard and put the information out there. This most likely means he WILL have those connections, and I wouldn't be surprised if George's reporting is getting worse and less (hence the "YOU WILL WANT TO SEE THIS!!!" but no information tweet) because they just don't like him and he's losing connections

I care about journalism for sure
james_ff is working with limited information but is posting everything he knows immediately in an easy to read manner and communicates with his community effectively and responsibly. he is already making connections and working with people who have done reporting before and he is only getting better. I'd much rather support someone who is attempting to work hard at reporting and putting out information and is a good character and good look for the scene than someone who is a known predator who half the community hates besides him being creepy because he's just annoying and toxic.

Sentinels executive suite (4 people) are getting paid a combined 1Million+ per year for a company that loses 8 million dollars per year. I'm sure it's similar across every other org in the league. What exactly are they getting paid 300k for if they can't convert the value of the labor of their hardworking players into profit? Isn't that their whole job?

yikes, I was not aware of this information. Agreed the entire point it to turn work into profit and they are doing an awful job of converting that especially compared to traditional sports.

But "for the good of the business" players should take minimum salary, it doesn't sit right with me. Ultimately the money for reasonable player salaries is gonna come from our pockets, which it should... But no one is asking me for my money. Not jack, not rob, not matt...

not for the good of the business, but because it's necessary for the business to stay afloat. similarly, the executive suite should also be making almost no money considering they aren't making any profit.
