This has to be bait right? I mean. You realize they boot camped for five straight weeks in preparation for LCQ? Then they got a single day off. One. & Asuna spent his single day off playing VALORANT? Yeah, but you’re right, they fell off.

Guy is comparing a 2 year old game to a 15+ year old game…crazy

Without any trolling (please vlr just looking for a legit conversation here)

Can someone explain why EMEA & NA have 3 representatives going to Champions, while APAC (I’m including Korea and Japan in that) have 6 slots, & SA (combining LATAM & Brazil) has 4 slots?

Is the viewership & support in these regions that much higher than EMEA & NA? Or am I missing something else? :) thanks!

wait are you really the one to call out roster moves? Fnatic?

Sean said in Vandals (YouTube “show” with esports Doug) they are trying to integrate new comps, but really focused on fundamentals, formulating base layers for the team, & creating a more consistent map pool. New comps will probably come later :)

All these twelve year olds with keyboard courage think they can do a better job. Then do it.

Constructive criticism is fine, but y’all are cringe. Pansy is an incredible caster. Are there things she could maybe work on? Probably. But as someone who loves the scene and doesn’t love EMEA, she makes it entertaining & great as a viewer. Keep it up Pansy! Appreciate ya

wait I know I am a 100T fan boy, so take my opinion with a grain of salt, but did we watch the same 100T and SEN this weekend? This match will be close, but I am pretty confident 100T will take it. Thats just me though :)

guys this team almost qualified in the first round of qualifications. This was against teams that have been working together for months. Teams that have deep strategies, protocols, and variabilities in their play. Against 100T with two new coaches (MikesHD isn't new to coaching but new to 100T, I know) two young players on TOTALLY different roles, and three weeks of practice. This team will go far just give them time :)

She is the worst “solo” initiator, but her combo potential with flash agents, Raze, & others is pretty good.

Just the absolute biggest W. VALORANT was the first esports scene that I fell in love with, and it looks like Riot is committed to making it the best it can be. Serious W.

Her wall not doing damage to enemies is a really big nerf. The greatest part of the wall was that it would give you a place to run to or from by yourself or with teammates. Now enemies can jump in with you without getting hurt. The reason that other "walls" are good in the game is because they punish the enemy for pushing. Her wall doesn't now.

Yeah the reason I said “one team region” is because DRX absolutely demolished in their region. They always have. Other than Nuturn last year, there has not been a single team that has been able to topple them. However, to your point, it’s hard to scale teams to international competition considering they have never been.

It’s all guesswork when comparing regions, so seeing how DRX performs at international events and how they destroy in their region leads me to think the REGION not DRX has a lot of work to do, & they will absolutely be really good.

As far as APAC/SEA, I rated them above KR because, as a region, they have outperformed KR in more recent tournaments (APAC LCQ, Champions, & now this Masters)

posted about 2 years ago

I don’t get it. I know this is bait to get people upset, but why? Why do you enjoy being like this? It’s sad, but I hope your day gets better brotha :)

posted about 2 years ago

I would say when talking about region’s generally? I think a fair breakdown would be:

  1. EMEA (consistent top finishes and masters wins in 2021)
  2. NA (Early year dominance and high finishes in Masters 2021 -minus Champions of course + this Masters)
  3. SEA (Major improvements throughout 2021 plus showed real skill in Champions and this Masters + they have multiple teams doing well)
  4. BRAZIL (Obviously LOUD is absolutely insane, but as a region I think LOUD are tiers above their competitors in BR similar to situation in KR with DRX.)
  5. KOREA/JP (KR is a one team region but who knows with the rest of the year. We will see how OnSlayers does. But JP was majorly impressive this Masters. However, they look like a 1 team region too)

But that is just my opinion :)

I’m really excited. I’m pumped for this roster, and I am excited for the new coaches. There might be some rocky starts, but I’m here for it! 100T fan through and through

Drink lots of water throughout the day to break up that mucus in your body. Another thing is hot water, lemon, & honey. That will help with sinuses, & it will prevent you from developing a bad soar throat.

Yeah I don’t really mean that. What I mean is Brazil is already really good in a few top tier FPS esports (mainly CS:GO & R6). However, no FPS has really taken off in the APAC region that is also popular in EMEA, NA, & Brazil. I think the future of Brazil is really bright. I mean LOUD look insane. But having APAC teams like the game and do well? That will only make VALORANT & the esport better with time.

posted about 2 years ago

This is not some NA hating on Brazil take. I actually really love how competitive Brazil has become. However, I think a Japanese team winning is beneficial for the future of VALORANT. I think the more regions are competitive, the more international the esport can become. With Japan winning, hopefully this is just another step in that! I don’t think this game being like CS:GO with mostly NA, EMEA, & Brazilian representatives is the best. The more competition the better! Anyway, I am talking in circles.

TL;DR More competitive international competition (specifically in the Asian/APAC region) is better for the future of the esport.

Riot, how is it that the winner of Optic/Xerxia will be playing against the Guard? Why is this the second tournament where NA is having to eliminate itself from the semifinals? There has to be a different solution right? Or is it my NA fan boy that is butt hurt?

So I know George Geddes reported on the potential roster, and I really don't have any problems with it other than Ethan leaving...(might partially be because he is my favorite player on the team) but I wanted to talk about it here with other VLR users...so here it is. I just don't understand why the roster couldn't be:

Asuna - Primary oper/Duelist (I know Asuna's Jett is what people talk about, but if you compare it stat for stat game for game he is not really far behind the top Jetts in NA in those games. He holds his own for sure. & the addition of Stellar allows him to not be on Chamber and instead play his best roles of Raze/Reyna where necessary)
bang - Flex/Secondary Duelist (confident, smart, and flexible player who has a really high ceiling in a position where he can frag and support his team)
DerrekOW - Sova/Secondary Flex (Do I have to say anything? Top 5 sova and literally carried Rise for months)
stellar - Sentinel (great IGL and sentinel..I mean look at this guys stats and VODs...dude is nuts)
Ethan - Controller (started the game playing Omen and he is an incredibly smart & clutch player)

unless Ethan doesn't want to play smokes which would kinda suck because this team could be nuts...

Is this the same Steel who is killing it in T1? and also they didn't fire nitr0, nitr0 left on his own accord for CS.

Wait didn’t your team get 2-0 against some random tier 2 team? Strange.

posted about 2 years ago

So wait, you’re saying because EU & SEA are a revolving door of who happens to be better that week that makes them better than NA? Curious.

First…coming to a different video game’s fan website to trash the community who likes it (L + you’re 12)
Second…comparing a game that is 2 years old to a game that has been a dominant part of international esports since before you were born.

Go somewhere else my guy, & don’t waste your time trying to make others feel small. Says more about you. Bye <3

posted about 2 years ago

Yeah and the craziest part is the way they try to do new comps. They don’t swap one agent for another or make small tweaks to existing meta comps. They got crazy and do things that no team EVER does. ie 3 initiators on Breeze.

Is WARDELL a good pick up? I’m on the fence. Don’t know if his passive OP play would be good compared to other opers. Plus, not sure why he didn’t move for his last team. Worried about dedication. I believe in the 100T support staff & vision though :)

posted about 2 years ago

That’s the Steel I know <3

posted about 2 years ago

I don't think WARDELL is gonna compete...seems like it at least because he didn't want to move to Texas...but I could be reading into things :)

posted about 2 years ago

I cannot say anything other than this is a massive W. Good structure, good coaching, and then the roster. Let’s get it 100T!!!

posted about 2 years ago

Yeah I don’t really mean that the missing piece is a coach or the roster needs an entire rebuild or anything. Just from the 2021 off-season and the 2022 season so far, it seems that the team is really struggling with a vision on what the team should be (roster, roles, & what not) and how they want to play. That’s why I think a lot of their matches have looked like ranked play, really good ranked play but ranked play :)

posted about 2 years ago

I think the role issues still exist within the team…I mean you have Hiko jumping from Sova to Viper to Killjoy on some maps, & Ethan taking Sova on others while being Chamber on some. Then on Icebox he is apparently Omen? I don’t know. I think this time off would be best suited by picking up a coach with a real vision, truly deciding the future of 100T VALORANT roster and all, & pressing forward with that roster for the year.

That being said I think everyone on the current roster is insane, & they all have the ability to surprise us.

posted about 2 years ago

Thought you might be an expert considering you are flagged from a tier 2 region

posted about 2 years ago

Yeah I think he was just saying bang is a role issue, so if they could get him on sentinel it wouldn’t be an issue :) when did he play KJ? I didn’t see it in his vlr history..
