I mean Esports is a young avenue to even talk about age honestly. Like we have Diageo Umehara, the legend from Street Fighter who's still going strong at above 45, and honestly even psychologists say that the fact about reflex difference between a player of 18 years vs 30 years is negligible as far as esports go. Its more on the mental thing. So its possible that a change of game can bring back the mentality shift needed.

The greatest Reyna of all time <3.

I think the Riot Anti Cheat team did check the vanguard info later and now BBG are allowed to continue ?

wasn't he the first guy to teabag in the game .

True, really can't say about anything. But at least NA scene is more predictable than the EU scene out there.

3-2 100T.... There called it B).

The only way G2 win is if Heretics an hour before the finals are removed from the tournament due to some "breach of conduct" or use of some unknown exploit XD. GG.

What the actual fuck. It was a Scream vs Heretics not Team Liquid vs Heretics.

Just hope its LAN. Maybe then can do it like LCS or other physical sports where the players arrive at the venues, are checked and all the time kept in bio bubbles for safety.

Shame, they had a nice run though.

It feels bad seeing Kydae's watch stream the way C9 are playing sooo bad. I mean lose if ya have to its a game, but at least go down fighting.

This aged pretty good eh XD.

Oh thanks. Now i get it. But tbh this was a pretty petty issue for a literal DQ :/. I have seen clips of this boost earlier too. I mean even during first strike people were using Killjoy ults on places which could be considered exploits by this logic.

Guys just opened twitch to watch NIP vs Guild Esports and I see that G2 are playing! Did something happen ? Twitch chat do say that they are disqualified for some bug exploit, but how in this game with so many abilities and bugs prevalent do you even exploit a bug?

Won't be surprised if somehow Liquid manages to lose this too.

In soloque leaving split, Reyna is a better choice than Viper. But its a complete hit or miss, either the player actually is able to trade of or increase his health or he dies and becomes the second to last bottom fragger. In my whole experience there is no mediocre or average Reyna. Its either too Good or Bad, nothing in between.

100t, well you could see were playing very methodically. I mean look at the number of clutches they pulled off. Even when they were down 2 v 5 or 2v4, they went slow instead of trying to go for aims and inflict damage as much as possible. In bind, Hiko was alone vs 2 and the lineups and his amazing usage of the ultimate ensured that they won. Even on other maps i did see Hiko killing or inflicting max damage with his dart lineups and ultimates, so if 100t goes this rout and the 2 young aimers continue to improve their sense along with their aims. When the lans do arrive, i see 100t being a top 3-5 team easily considering their 3 players are more than accustomed to playing in large pressure scale tournaments.

Man, i saw the whole match and Renegades outperformed Cloud 9 in every way.

These are the open qualifiers for the seeding right ? The next phase will still have the closed qualifiers so they ll get another chance but yes not winning affects their positions and might have to play on harder opponents.

posted about 3 years ago

Do teams like Liquid, G2 still have to play qualifiers ? I mean, if its a BO1 only then at least they should have gone for BO2 even if they wouldn't be able to show the match.

Lets see what happens. I just hope that it doesn't end up like another CSGO or LOL (please not that, but after all the fiasco with female teams in LOL i don't think it'll happen again). The potential looks there, but more than that i hope it leads to other female team formation and actually being able to go up against if not defeat the Tier-1 boys teams.

And also Faze clan will be playing after a long time. And unlike last time no excuses for saying the team is too new or there was no time for practicing strats and roles. This will be another showdown of NA's powerhouses.

posted about 3 years ago

I don't even believe in Liquid anymore. They need to work on strats rather than just defaults and pure coordinated executes. They play good. But its more of individual talent and all instead of teamplay.

2-0 ! Nah

Damn..! That was a COMEBACK by Envy... 2-10 to 13-11 ...! ... And it would have been 13-10 if not for taht half second delay into bomb plant at B. Lets see if they can clutch up the series or not.

DAmn... Psalm is one confident guy.... Hope he is able to keep on backing this up !

needs more marketing though. Like seriously, Spike.gg was new and not that good, but i remember seeing their ad in one or two invitational tournaments with the casters even marketing it to the viewers and their name on the bottom left for each match. Either that or we need a few exclusive interviews with players or coaches.

I believe OT should be 4 rounds instead of just 2. One attack and one defense doesn't make sense.

A minimum of 6 map pool is needed for the competitive scene. It doesn't make any sense if the teams ban 2 maps and then there are two maps to play. Without 5-6 map pools its not possible for teams to be "good" in one particular map and have any special strats. Right now its more about teamplay and individual skills than map knowledge. For example i would love to see Liquid being great as CT on a map while T1 is weak there so they can exploit it. Just like Navi tries to do on Train.

Damn, Didn't expect TSM to lose against Dignitas. Heck even a close win would have been not thinkable. But once i saw that the roster was that of the previous "Homeless" i realized its possible.

posted about 3 years ago

Damn... Knew it...100t would be doing something big. But Nitro..! Couldn't have imagined a Top tier csgo at near his peak leaving and joining a new esport.

posted about 3 years ago

Oooooo nice....Hope the Indian scene actually does something... The potential is there though.

posted about 3 years ago

Either 1-1 or 2-0 for Liquid... No way they are losing out the whole match.

posted about 3 years ago

Liquid looked so damn good here. Especially on the individual level. Link was cracked af here. Maybe Vodafone Giants were a bad team or was Liquid really good today.

Although Mixwell does tend to tilt a lot (like last match where he missed an op shot leading to two of his teammates dying and he said "Its because you all don't let me peek" ), but i believe raw skill wise he is one of the best in the scene right now. Although he's heavy dependent on OP like Wardell, the inclusion of more flashes or different operators or maps might lead their one trick pony playstyle to be their downfall.
