A lot of people forget but this was actually a banger series. All the maps were within 2 rounds.
100% think it's FNC
there's just nothing wrong with the org
yeah what he said was something like riot are shitting themselves so they're pumping out the applications and rushing orgs to sign up
which isn't really true
if CS stays like CS, then CS's playerbase will stay like CS's playerbase. why would Riot care
it's been nearly two months since the application period started, I think calling it "rushed" is very odd. They're not evaluating 100-page theses.
It simply wont matter because its a win win for teams outside of franchising to sell their players to those inside.
there's so much solid NA talent I don't think they'll need to import players unless it's an absolutely incredible player who is looking to move to a different region, like Forsaken.
aspas is just a great player tbh
sucks loud couldn't get their shit together for the first game
^ and I love his utility usage it's almost always effective
they're like equal in my head so far
picked him because there's already 2 PRX players on the team so it would make more sense
Marved literally has to be on the team, so Boaster can't be on it since he plays the same role (though he has experience on the initiator too)
I rate Forsaken higher than him rn , but he'd be in contention for the main duelist / chamber spot with Yay and Derke
Make the best team with the best players at this event!
Forsaken - duelist / chamber
Jinggg - second duelist / flex
Marved - controller
Benkai - IGL, initiator
Alfajer - Sentinel excl chamber / flex
Enzo does a lot for the team, like midround calling and fantastic utility usage, that Brave didn't but the latter made up for it with sheer firepower. However, with addition of Alfajer maybe his fragging wouldn't have been as impactful.
Either way, I don't think it's fair to say Brave was inferior when he never really got a solid chance. Enzo is a fantastic player regardless.
ask in the discord (scroll down site then bottom right for the link)
Jinggg not being one below Forsaken or one above is such an easily visible issue with these rankings.
3.4k ranked players per million this act likely means there's many more casual or less frequent players per million too!
Either way, all that matters for this to succeed is for something like 60-70 collegiate teams with 5 immortal players, which I think is easily possible considering the demographics of Valorant. I know for a fact many of the larger and wealthier universities already have Valorant teams like UW, most UCs, and many more.
I don't know anything about CS collegiate but Riot's had a great track record with their academy teams in League, and I think the way they've set the system up is smart too since it allows players to focus on uni and this as a secondary thing only on the weekend.
I'm pretty optimistic about this system's success.
at least he's 100% securing the bag after the back-to-back top 4 performances
there are like 3.4k ranked players per million according to https://tracker.gg/valorant/leaderboards/ranked/all/default?page=1®ion=na&act=67e373c7-48f7-b422-641b-079ace30b427 this season
not really representative of the entire player base since there's a lot of casual interest in this game, and because it's only from the current act
i'd be more scared of Derke not fragging tbh
this is what I had too, but not in that order.
Fnatic
Optic
PRX
LOUD
PRX 2-1 Optic
forces a revenge match grand finals either way and a banger NA v EU knockout LB final
OPTIC v Fnatic should be a fun match to watch no matter what.
(if FPX wins, i cba to care since it's just going to PRX v Optic twice)
they made top 6 both events starting from groups placing over NA's seed 1 and EMEA's seed 3
they are undeniably top tier. Just maybe not at the place they need to be to take it home yet.
i totally forgot there's going to be a crowd. Maybe it will be hype because they're EU teams? I'm skeptical.
I've just seen it so many times I can't be bothered anymore
if it goes into the depths of OT then I might wake up
can anything save this game from being a sleeper
it's easy to forget how young they are because they show up on stage so often tbh
it's not even choking they just spontaneously combust late into tournaments
it's inexplicable
the individual decision-making wasn't great for Fnatic.
util usage was spotty too, there were so many times a Fnatic member dry peeked a common op angle and got rolled by Taco
the silver lining is their resilience and Enzo and Alfajer's solid performances at their first major LAN events.
PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD WIN
I cannot bear to watch ANOTHER Fnatic v FPX series this stage
more than timezones it's usually a visa / covid issue
they've held LANs in Korea/China/Na in LoL
surely the derkium stonks will replenish
M3C v FNC is my favorite still, then GMB v KRU
but this is third!
💙 AMAZING TEAM
Melser is a beast
the King clutch will stay in my mind rent free
WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

they start this fall, 24/10/22 being the first match day.
https://rsaa.riotgames.com/2022/07/18/announcing-the-inaugural-college-valorant-season/
tldr: collegiate teams in US, Canada
3 tournaments throughout year
end with 32 team tournament
seems to be a part of their plan for the tier-2 scene with franchising
