you said all that i was gonna say basically. it takes alot of time to improve in a system where you have a large disparity in skill, an example is china bcos EDG were stomping everyone in regionals and then they dont do the best on the international stage. but they needed to learn. until other teams started to go it meant they could learn what other regions are doing, getting the reps in etc. thats gonna happen to GC teams in T2 it just takes sm time to start from the bottom.

from riots pov tho more viewership in GC than in T2 so their "results" show otherwise.

its slow progress thats the point. in a closed system how are you meant to grow if your competition isnt as good as you? look at china for example, EDG were stomping everyone so easily for years, they get to an international, get stomped. rinse and repeat for a bit and suddenly other teams are now giving EDG a hard time, slowly progressing up and making internationals and beating other teams. 2023 champs winner boostio saying that china will never be as good or whatever. 2024 EDG champs winner? its slow and takes alot of time, money, role models and understanding of how to play the game. they need the reps in to be able to have better ideas on map logic etc. chinas viewerships hardcarry the numbers in international aswell so ofc that helps

T2 is a broken system that money isnt gonna solve outright. itll help but people just dont care about it bcos theyre not known to casual viewers and GC finals are getting more viewership than T2 finals all across the board not just GC champs

we just did a tour around the multiple sites and then on the night we dids basic constellations and how to navigate the sky manually with the small telescopes, finding polaris, andromeda galaxy, orions belt, planets etc!!! fun stuff :3 its called Gran Telescopio Canarias at Roque de los Muchachos Observatory in La Palma
