that's where my hope comes from. if Buzz stops throwing in some advantage situations & they can form into a more cohesive organism it's only a matter of time before they yield fruit. the questionable part is them getting to that point

repeatedly watching this team land 5-6th, have multiple questionable roster decisions, and then fumble qualification to two internationals this year has done some things to me
i do still have faith that DRX could have an epiphany and stop trolling eventually. might be stockholm syndrome but there is still some optimism there
very real chance of happening if GENG cooks again and DRX (Termi) don't fumble their current roster's development
playing 'ballsy' is not the solution to their problems. they need more protocols on their less fleshed out maps & better gameplans. You're looking at one subpar performance on FengF's part and assuming his raze is the problem when the whole point of his role is to make space and entry. Sometimes he's a raidboss and sometime's he's Icy2. no point in fixing something that isn't even broken
Kai's one of the most versatile players in China. why the fuck would they waste that by putting him on perma duelist when FengF can get the job done on maps where they need raze
"for those that never work out or eat healthy" so people who are unhealthy? great observation
drop which tier 1 team you think will have the MOST aura by the end of next year
screaming into a void so empty that not even an echo comes back 🗣️
you gotta chug along until the last like 10 episodes the pace is so bad
All Gamers initially caught my attention because they signed the Attacking Soul Esports core and coach, who I was already a big fan of. I started enjoying watching them play because you could see a clear effort from them to improve in aspects of their fundamentals and macro, which resulted in gradually better results and placements. Not only were they fun to see get better, but they also just were inherently fun to watch whenever they were on a heater. Their Sunset comeback against TEC is one of my favorite moments of the season.
Trace can trade blows easily once they get a better map pool. Their ascent and bind are world class but everything else needs heavy overhauling if they wanna turn their potential into a reality
it rolled everyone they played against except G2 in groups sooooooo
if any org would throw a bag for a player is another Chinese team, but like I said EDG is most likely gonna do everything they can under their contractual limits to keep all of them. I literally don't see any org outbidding EDG for their own roster
EDG have hella bands to keep them under the banner for a while so them getting bought out isn't an issue (for now)
Haodong being assistant coach is literally one of the main reasons they SUCCEEDED. I don't think he's feeling bad about this at ALL
not only that but also utilizing haodong's good innate game sense to bolster their previously embraced playstyle as assistant coach
"If you can't win a 1v3 while darted and stunned you aren't considered to have good shooting ability in China"
wow i didn't think of that trikecycle you're so smart!
THEY HAVE CRACK IN THEIR VEINS AND IT'S NOT THE DRUG LMFAOOO
Karon Woot and S1mon most definitely deserve that top rookie podium holy shit
on my great grandma's soul S1mon gets an ace next map. drag her down to hell if I'm wrong
both teams pull masterclasses and mechanical outlying plays out of their asses it's insane
i don't blame him for not reloading honestly. tried to read the rotate, only realized after Boo planted, and then thought that Boo walked close, and then realized that he was playing back which he was already posted onto the angle for
pls keep this account alive and be EDG's #1 hater next season. i see the potential!
ong you're so right
a fuck ton of variables to consider that can drastically impact the score line and result. combine that with human error and you get a really entertaining esport!
god has gifted us with a banger and these sacrilegious people want to spit in the face of the gift he gave us
tweaking out harder hating the crowd than I do getting hungry for Raising Canes
I'd say EG 2023 was the most STRUCTURED team of all time. I don't doubt that if they stayed together they would be able to adapt to the meta and innovate, but the general fundamental play and midrounding at the top level has been SO MUCH better this season compared to the last. It's hard to compare last year's team pool to this one for that exact reason.
it's the classic EDG tendency to go down a half/map and bring it back later in the series. i wouldn't count them out just yet
41 million impressions. but that definitely means there's at least a few mil live viewers on the lowball
allergic to whimsy and objectively good production
fr also this shit is fun. you can tell there's effort to make this memorable
fr every NA team got eviscerated in their elimination games
EDG: redemption run from their previous 2 events this season and could potentially land China their first trophy in their first year of franchising
Trace: finally overcame their choke tendencies and was the first team to put China on the board this champs
G2: went from fucking ASCENSION to top 8 champs
SEN: bounced back from a mid-season fall off and clawed their way out of the group of death
LEV: turned up and became the superteam they were always predicted to be
TH: top 2 as a team with 4 of their players being tier 1 rookies
FNATIC: running it back with Hiro instead of Leo due to health reasons and achieving top 6
disregarding the upgrade of this season's gameplay the storylines here are much more endearing. last champs only really had EG, EDG, PRX, and BLG to carry it in terms of aura imo
They were the team that got me into watching competitive Valorant during their East Asia LCQ run. Hearing that an underground Chinese team making it to a world champion stage in a game like this got me super intrigued and the rest was history. I hope their efforts yield the biggest fruit it possibly can this run.
