luminosity's parent organization, Enthusiast Gaming, has been going through cost cutting the past few months due to very poor performance (financially) - lost $8.6M in Q1 22.

not sure whether riot rejected them and if that led to this decision, but they laid off almost all the staff for upcomer some months back + a bunch of other layoffs for their other media properties
