the map pool last year was super tough on sova players as there were only 2 maps where sova was meta and maybe 2 more if you forced fade on it, meaning the majority were skye focused, and leo was the mvp of 2023 in my eyes so he should do just fine on this map pool with another dedicated sova map in breeze and sunset looking to be a good fade map (obviously no idea on the pro meta but this is just my opinion as a mid immo player).
Excited to see my goat playing more sova than ever, especially when icebox gets added back as he was a literal terrorist with shock darts on that map.
yea exactly, and hes playing with v1c as the sentinel player who is also super flexible so I imagine this year would be a great opportunity to develop his agent pool even further (sentinel is the easiest role to pick up mind you)
He has patience, currently he has offers from the lower end teams of franchising but I imagine he has much higher aspirations / self value.
Spend a year improving and getting more experience as an IGL, win it all or not, he will be getting offers from most teams once this year is up, not just the bottom end teams building a budget team

thankfully dephh is only 1 player, and not a full team, so yes, if ambrosia competed in GC I imagine they would dominate, but dephh by himself doesn't have the firepower to "farm" in GC. The argument isn't that the GC scene is better than the male scene because of course it isn't, thats the point.
The point is that Dephh wouldn't "farm" GC as he has next to no firepower. Maybe the team hes on looks strategically better than the others, but thats still on the 4 GC players on his team rather than himself
farm in what sense of the word? mechanically 90% of the gamechangers players are better than him, so he'd farm them with his calls while bottom/averagely fragging? Its like saying FNS farms tier 1 pros, when he literally gets farmed by randoms in ranked, but makes up for it with his calling.

the best ones are pros who arent super cringe / energetic. Aleksandar good chill stream, sarah_frags the goat as always, boasters streams really good and informative, lowkey tenz has very good streams and is very chill (just make sure not to look at his chat), suygetsu, sacy, aspas all goated. Babybay is also fun and interactive.

Flyuh gets dropped from faze, doesn't complain (pretty sure I remember him actually thanking Faze for dropping him as it made him hold himself accountable), takes it as a sign that he needs to change/improve.... changes and improves, succeeds in tier 2, is pretty close to getting into tier 1 after 1 year. BabyJ has spent this whole year as a full time streamer... doesn't take his dropping as a sign of needing to improve, doesn't improve, isn't close to tier 1, cries in ranked.

Difference is Ethan never called himself the best at his role in the world despite never having any results, never caused internal drama due to them not playing the way he wanted, adapted to the meta and changed the way he played, didn't stream hundreds of hours of ranked, flaming and crying about literal children and random people not playing perfectly, had no crazy ego that made playing with him literally impossible because you never know if 2 months down the line when the results arent coming in he was gonna self destruct.
There is a big difference between world champ material and a ranked player
Total kills means nothing, my silver friend could play 10 games a day in ranked and would have way more total kills than all of these guys combined in champs. Just means they've played more
I think the issue is that he literally never streamed or made content during his time at fish/g2/fpx so most people never knew about his personality hence his lack of popularity. I imagine if he streamed/made content while in europe hed be much more popular than he is now.

I still think its going to be Jett/Raze Skye KJ Harbor Viper, then maybe a Raze Breach Fade Chamber/KJ Astra alternative comp. I think there are quite a few places for chamber to work, and combine it with util and you can get him set up on some strong angles, like outside of a and b mains, and then have his trip top mid.
its not that bad ngl, I personally wouldnt wear it but its defo better than most content creator merch
the only issue with that is power creep, last year we saw what a sentinel who is better than KJ looks like and it wasn't pretty, making cypher, deadlock or chamber better than KJ would make the game unplayable.
The reason why KJ is so strong is bc she has 2 bits of constant information, so unless they rework her kit, give the turret a certain view range, or change the fov or something like that, shes going to be strong. Like realistically the turret and the alarm bot rarely get value from their main ability (shoot and tag the opponents, or pop and make people vulnerable) its when they aren't in action and are just getting constant information on over half the map. She's beyond fixing without a rework imo
