the way I see it: if you were to have two teams qualify for bracket, the four top seeded teams get a bye from the first round of bracket. single elimination so the second seed teams from groups gotta fight tooth and nail to advance.

just altogether sounds like a better structure idk. the current format just doesn't sound competitively great, regardless of whether or not riot is on a short time frame.

my exact thoughts. so used to group stages having winners + deciders with teams going 2-0 getting top seed in bracket while 2-1 teams get lower seed. this is so weird.

four team groups with only one team going to playoffs each? that's... interesting, for sure.
