its gotta be a bunch of sentinels fans who watched him farm their team after coming off a win and they started peddling this narrative because it didnt exist before then everybody thought less was the best from loud. he is very clearly good but how is the best ever have 1 trophy in which he was the least important player and his most impressive thing outside of that is farming regionally on jett. make it make sense.

munchkin qualified to multiple events in 2021 and 2023 on a different role and played relatively well in all of them. and since his transition to igl in 2024 his team has been consistently one of the best with different iterations well putting up crazy performances. most underrated player imo.
where has this leo has barely played narrative come from? he played from 2021-2024 and won 2 trophies as the most impactful player on his team competing with alfa, derke, and chronicle. he hasnt played in 1 year and somehow people have forgotten how good he is.
made a thread similar to this but i decided after watching the platchat episode that i should make one only including international winners so here it is
the way i ranked them was based on longevity, consistency, and how important they were for their trophy. (tried to take into consideration igling and how consistently their team had been at the top of the game but its hard to consider some players when their fragging is also holding back the team)
also had 6 HMs who havent won trophies but had placed top 4 at a international at least once and top 15 statistically at 1 or more events that i think deserve to be in the greatest convo regardless.
HMs: valyn, MaKo, RieNs, Sayf, Spring, trexx
yes hes overrated because of the sen fanbase and 2 trophies (one was a mickey and the other a fluke)
valyn could never win a trophy in his career and would still be better than tenz
overrated asf worst player on his team when he won his trophy and he has only farmed regionally ever since.
there is a case for yay just because that year he was probably the most dominant player we will ever see in the game but the rest kinda makes it hard to put him there. tenz overrated asf farmed plumbers and was the 3rd best player on his team in 2024 also had a very long period where he was just terrible. derke was never the best player on his team so ive always had a hard time rating him also the vitality disaster between him and trexx kinda hurts his case since hes always been on fnatic and struggles the first time hes out of their system. kk could be on the list instead of sayf tbh i was close to doing that. meteor also overrated asf literally the worst player on geng and didnt even deserve the mvp in bangkok t1 fans just desperately want him to be valorant faker. boaster? are we fr? great leader and the consistency is there but you cant rate someone in a top 10 who literally doesnt shoot back. trexx has been the highest rated player at multiple events and hasnt had a dip in form once in his career its only a matter of time for him ngl hes leo levels in terms of in server game iq. sayf is probably the 2nd best flex player in the game and being good at almost every single role is really really hard just hasnt had the right team around him to win something yet. also i am not the rating players off of how many trophies they have if that wasnt obvious alr.
