Playing breach is cancer in ranked, but on any other init where you can actually capitalize off ur util, its a skill issue

Its just a lot harder to have good positioning as an init player, but it feels 100x more rewarding imo.

I do agree that its just not reflected in RR gains though, which sucks

I am in fact not trying to prove anything.

I am trying to show you the appeal of the sport, and why some people may find it very enticing.

More seriously tho, you not liking a sport does not mean its bad, and also does not mean it will have a huge crisis

You sound like the people that are saying that valorant is dying because it has been trending towards using utility more than simply gunplay to win fights and games.
Just because a game is trending in a direction you do not like, does not mean its dying

posted 2 months ago

You just dont get the appeal of the sport, its ok, but you dont have to be an ass about it lol

The whole point of the sport is the uncertainty. Everything can change extremely fast, especially when you take into consideration that the majority of matches are decided by a difference of goals < 2.

It is possible that a player just starts having a life game, and completely turns around a game in less than 10 minutes of play.
The whole appeal is that in most of the matches, you are glued to the screen because anything could happen.

Its like being in perma overtime in val.

Also you talk about the win % of the first goal, but its the same as saying that a team that has a 4-5 round advantage is going to win. The goals just have that much impact.

Yo !

Im currently immo 2, and im trying to get some experience in coaching. I sent you my discord in dm if you're interested !

I feel like if you just keep playing you will inevitably hit immo. Your cypher looks clean, and your winrate on him is really good.
Haven on particular looks like a really good map for your cypher lately.

Also I cant lie you just ranked up from diamond a week ago, give yourself time dude. You actually need to learn how to play the game in order to get to immo, and you have a really good winrate so I wouldnt be shocked if you went up to asc 3 in the next few weeks.

But yeah hit me up if you want more detailed analysis (its free btw I just wanna get experience)

Tbh idk why I hate them, they just have 0 aura and invy cant 1v9 every game

Also I hate every team that doesnt try, like :

  • furia (there is so much talent in brazilian T2, they are barely even trying)
  • KOI
  • All Gluers
  • TYLOO

Revert viper changes ? we are smoking crack here LMFAO

posted 2 months ago

Thats straight up false XD

I just checked all of the stats of Challengers 2024, mada was not even close to the stats that canezerra is putting up.

posted 2 months ago

Tbh I should watch some more vods of ENVY and look at how much freedom the yoru does give to canezerra.

But even still, his numbers are fucking crazy, if i was a coach I would pick him up and just play double duelist every map if he goes +10 every single time

posted 2 months ago

that is a pretty fucking good roster cant lie

posted 2 months ago

I actually dont think that canezerra would do well in that scenario ?

I think it will give more value to setup canezerra than to setup yay.

(In case you havent guessed, I think yay is kind of washed :/ )

posted 2 months ago

Oh wow thats a crazy hot take

I get that canezerra's agent pool is pretty concerning, but I just dont think sato is fragging heavy enough to make as much as an impact as canezerra.

One thing I will give sato is that he looks like a pretty good yoru, but I have more faith in canezerra picking up yoru and learning how to play it (especially after having played with eggster so much), than sato ever fragging as heavy as canezerra

posted 2 months ago

Oh yeah I see. I heavily disagree with the use of these stats, because even though ENVY is clearly the best team in T2 NA at the moment, this kind of mechanical dominance has never been seen before in challengers ?

he is averaging 306.7 acs in stage 2 right now, and you cant tell me that more than 50% of that is due to ENVY being the best team in challengers.

By comparison, lets take kaajak (who was the most mechanically dominant player in T2 last year).
He was only averaging 290 acs in ascension, which was his best tournament all year (excluding the grand final because he had a big underperformance)

Canezerra is still very much above those numbers

posted 2 months ago

wtf we are using all time stats ????

respectfully but canezerra is 16, using all time stats is as relevant as using stats from when he was in diamond

IMO, for young players like this, using stats from the last 60 or last 90 days is the only relevant thing

posted 2 months ago

Zekken has mentioned several times wanting to go back to school and complete his studies, as (I think) he doesnt see being a professional valorant player as a viable long term career.

Btw, I agree that OXY is a lot less consistent, and less versatile than zekken, but imo he has higher peaks mechanically (I still think that zekken is way smarter in the way he plays, and has more consistent mechanics, I just think that OXY has the most ridiculous rounds from time to time)

posted 2 months ago

where are you getting your numbers from ?

he has a 1.47 rating on jett in the last 60 days, and 1.28 in the last 90 days

posted 2 months ago

Maybe im just biased because I like ENVY, but I feel like that wouldnt be as dumb as it sounds. I would def keep ethan as flex and get rid of mada tho

posted 2 months ago

I dont think he can play them tbh. I wonder if its not better to just stick him on iso / clove and let him frag out

posted 2 months ago

Yeah but who would that be ?

I dont think its G2 or SEN because I dont think he would do well in their systems, I feel like he kind of needs a system built around him like Demon1.

Is it just gonna be NRG and we hope its not 2024 NRG again ?

posted 2 months ago

Bro is averaging 290-300 ACS atm (prime 2021 Reykjavik Tenz numbers), casually going +10 every single map

He turns 18 in june 2026, where do you guys think he is getting picked up ?

Do you think he sticks with the ENVY core (ion2x and POPPIN), and waits for ion to turn 18 too before joining a team ? (ion turns 18 january 2027)

He has the most cursed agent pool (legit just iso jett), but he is fragging so heavy that its worth it for any struggling team to pick him up I think.

posted 3 months ago

This is actually tilting the fuck out of me you have 0 understanding of yoru.

quick question : why the fuck would you want to have a yoru on your team instead of a kayo if your yoru player is not going to play aggressively ?

posted 3 months ago

OK maybe you can say im coping on this one, but tejo is just so easy to play when you have a play book.
Especially when the player learning is a big sova player, who is already used to using drone utility and the timings of an exec.
The only piece of util that needs a bit of thinking is the stun, and its really not that hard.

The big thing is that this decision was about damage control :

  • Beyn on yoru -> passive player on yoru, 0 value from the most broken agent in the game rn, and abysmal fragging from yoru because of the style mismatch -> terrible decision
  • free1ing on yoru, beyn on tejo -> a bit less fragging from the tejo, but basically the same value from the util. aggro player on yoru : a lot of mistakes, some games are going to be very bad (haven), and bad util -> bad decision, but a bit more overall fragging, and free1ng gets to learn to flex on yoru, which could be very good long term
posted 3 months ago

XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

yes ofc lets count the 2000 rounds of beyn on jett dating from 2022 and say that he is an aggressive player.
I legit dont need to hear any more from you, you have never watched a drx game in your life if you think this guy is an aggressive player, hes a very passive kind of player, which is why he ended up on sova.

Also check my other message, yoru is just not played like a flash initiator. He has no lineups in common with kayo, and he needs to play off his flashes a lot more.

He is much closer to phoenix or reyna than any initiator. When init players play yoru, they have a tendency to rely on the flash too hard and not use the playmaking ability that his kit gives you, which is a lot more suited for very aggressive players, that will disrespect util and get big value out of it.

posted 3 months ago

Yoru is not played at ALL like a flash initiator holy shit you are delusional

He could be played like that in 2023-early 2024 when ethan was one of the best yoru in the world (XD)

You lose so much value having a player that is as supportive as beyn on yoru, because he is obviously gcroing to play more passive as he is so used to it.

Freeing on the other hand has a much more aggressive playstyle, which could suit yoru a lot more.

Im not even a drx fan, and i was hatewatching drx for most of 2024, but you are just delusional if you think that was a t0rmi moment, it was just damage control and i strongly think that was the least bad decision he could have made.

Also OBVIOUSLY free1ng showed nothing new on yoru, he played it for the first time 3 days ago :D

posted 3 months ago

The only reason they had freeing on yoru is because flashback left 3 days before the match.
The leave couldnt possibly have been planned by termi, and hes doing incredible work with drx this year (i agree that he fucking trolled 2024 tho)

Also lets not pretend that Beyn would have been a better yoru than freeing, the guy has played 4 games of yoru playing for All Gluers in 2023, he would have been fucking dogshit as well, especially when you see how much the understanding of yoru has evolved in the last year.

Also id much rather have freeing learn yoru, so that he could possibly flex on yoru later in the year, its a much better plan long term.

why tf would you want a system where you have no incentives to even try to win once you have locked playoffs ?

me when i dont understand a team comp

reyna is here to play on site and delay once you get to site. because reyna can dismiss (unlike iso) she can escape, not get traded, and make them use util once you get to site.

This is very good if ur playing a comp with a lot of post plant util (like t1 are) because this makes the enemy team waste time, waste util, and very often the reyna can get away with a kill.

posted 3 months ago

i dont think something and jemkin would fit together well on the same team

but a team like with something kr1stal v0okashu dos9 is such a dream team

I legit wouldnt mind having a complete random with them, if it helps them play together well. They have enough playmaking for 10 ppl

probably a hot take, but the only reason that the current meta has so much flexibility is that solo yoru is pretty bad / abusable on a lot of maps.

For example, solo yoru on split is pretty bad, because the main thing that the comp does is tp backsite b, and if this gets countered the comp is suddenly a LOT worse, and attack gets very very hard.

https://youtu.be/5WWXJqfqZDY?si=4GgYz1t6ajfhC4PE

watch this bro

He has never been a great entry player, his jett is decent but you have to play so hard around the fact that he is not a good entry player.
He can be the best player in the world in a good system that can have him off the entry (like EG, where boostio was taking as much if not more entries than him), but this is so hard to do when he plays duelist. He is just not made for the role, doesnt have an aim style or playstyle that suits the role, and just keeps playing it out of ego, when the only duelist he was ever good on was jett.

He should be playing roles closer to the roles of meteor, or keiko, where he plays jett or iso on some maps but NEVER has to take the responsibility of entrying for the team.

Basically my point is : solo duelist demon1 = auto loss, unless you have a psychopath like boostio or meteor that will entry on fucking kj on your team.

NO BUT FOR REAL

YORU ISO SOVA IS META ON HAVEN

you have something, who can and wants to play flash agents, but who also wants to op, and has crazy movement...
hmmmm
why not try yoru ? NO HES ON BREACH

you have jingg, who can play raze, reyna, sage... maybe put him on iso ? iso is a really simple agent to play on haven as long as you know your role in the comp (jingg has shown that he can excel in that type of agent, where he has 1 role, and then its basically jingg go kill).
BUT NO HES ON SMOKES

forsaken can play any agent and can be mega flexible... LETS MAKE HIM PLAY WAYLAY ON EVERYMAP AND NOT USE HIS FLEXIBILITY

davai is a great sentinel player, and a great skye player (you know, an agent with a flash that gets info... like another agent in the game i think... maybe... cant remember :p) BUT NO MINDFREAK IS ON VYSE

also you have mindfreak, who is NOT known for his flexibility, but is known to be a great controller player, who can be a monster when he is in a confortable spot... AND YOU MAKE HIM PLAY SENTINEL AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

like you have forsaken on perma duelist duty, when you could have something on yoru when you need a yoru, jingg on waylay / raze when you dont, but he can play iso or cypher if you need. Then you have mindfreak on perma controller, and then forsaken and davai flexing around like they always have. I feel like the roles were always shit on this team, but i feel like alecks is doing a pretty poor job of exploiting the strengths of his players.

I feel like this wasnt a problem before because prx players just used to play whatever the fuck they wanted, but now they maybe wanna win too hard and thus flex around when they dont need to ?

posted 4 months ago

im so serious, demon1 needs to get the fucking yay treatment. Stop this guy from playing duelist at all costs, and this will make you win games. He completely fucked LEV's year by lying and saying he could play duelist, when he CLEARLY hasnt been an entry player ever and never will, and the meta has shifted so that you CANNOT have a player on an agent that brings 0 utility to the team anymore. I think they need to get rid of Rossy (because I think he brings no value through his IGLing, he is a great player but i would rather have COM or tex) and get an actual duelist somewhere (FLOR IS STILL STUCK IN APEKS JAIL BTW)

nongshim are so fun to watch, especially dambi (either the dirtiest inter on the planet or the most goated entry you could ever want rn)

but yeah apac is the only fun region to watch rn, fpx (igl cant even fucking speak chinese) and w0lves are the best teams in china (chichoo and smoggy are not clicking rn so edg just lose, and trace are not traceing), gluequid is in the top 3 of emea, and g2 are dominating na so we just sleep

harbor doesnt need changes imo, he has a good niche as a controller, its just very hard to use and, as you argued with yoru, most pro teams will never exploit him that well.

Agree with the chamber change, his trip being non global is just annoying as fuck and is a big nerf on maps where he could be good (abyss)

sage and deadlock can be good in pro play because they heavily counter the flood retake style that is used a lot on certain maps (haven or lotus).
For example, its so so hard to retake b site lotus or a site haven when the enemy team has a deadlock or a sage (if they cycle their util well).
Problem is, its hard to make it fit in a comp, as it doesnt really have a ton of synergy with other agents, except with raze, which only makes this idea really viable on lotus imo (could be hot take).
And even then, i dont think this comp is better than the meta one with viper, but could work IF you lean heavy on b site (as the viper comp usually tries to allocate as little resources as possible to B), which is unfortunately mega readable.
This is why the FUT comp with a sage and no init was working in EMEA in split 1, it can take opponents by surprise.

I think its mostly useful in a gimmick way tho, as an alternative to the default comp, and considering how hard it can be to play it, im not sure its worth the time.

Clove will probably never get reworked for pro play and i think its good, they are a ranked agent, made for ranked, not pro play.

Agree with the iso change, maybe change some numbers but thats a decent idea.

L breach change tho, its only easy to dodge if you know where its coming from, if it takes you by surprise it can be hard as fuck to dodge

L jett change, jett is fine

Reyna has a niche in pro play (just look at paper rex), and phoenix too with 6 orb ult (he would be played a lot more if pearl was in rotation).
Also im not sure phoenix is played that much in ranked ? might be just my experience tho.

already talked about sage but also her wall can make retakes on sites where there is a post plant meta (b on abyss or b on sunset) a lot easier, and teams can work with that. Sliggy says this might be really good on abyss, i have doubts but who knows.

deadlock is really fucking good in ranked tho, you should try it shes really fun

also w take on yoru, should probably be a 8 orb ult, his ult is top 3 best ults in the game with iso ult and sova ult imo. idk why the fuck he has a 7 orb ult.

(me when i get baited)
