yes they won Iceland but in reality I feel like NA is a pretty weak region. They only have 1 good team that can compete internationally,
and the only reason they were able to win Reykjavik 2022 is because the top EMEA teams couldn’t play because of travel restrictions and Covid. So basically Optic had no competition.

also I kinda feel like this run was a bit of a fluke. They lost to Xerxia at the beginning and Loud in the upper finals so they are definitely not as strong as everything thinks but somehow they won it at the end so idk I still think FPX, prime Fnatic and even Gambit are all higher in the rankings than Optic.

I think when everything goes back to normal we will never see NA, Optic and these random teams again. I mean the last time we had everyone competing normally every NA team got grouped and they had no chance

I agree but the open qualifiers is a guantlet. It is less about prepping and counter strating prior to the match and about in game adjustments. I would tend to think it better suits experienced players rather than newer rosters. That is why I think a team of vets just put together can qualify. Not saying any young and scrappy team can’t do it (look at the guard)

A team consisting of Wardell, Sinatraa, Zombs, BabyJ, and WeDid would actually qualify for this round of NA VACT. Just based on pure experience and fragging abilities, they can make the gauntlet run thru open qualifiers while some younger inexperienced teams, like 100T, would burn out on.

Heard that TSM is signing Tarik, Nadeshot, Lebron James, Stevie Wonder, and Abraham Lincoln. Can’t reveal my source tho

Jett can still OP and take the aggressive early round peaks on defense. This eliminates her ability to do it for free, especially if the enemy goes to the opposite site. What differs from a chamber op vs a jett op rn is that chamber has to put his TP set up on whatever site he is on to get away, thus if they are the other site he loses his ability for a minimum of 20 seconds. Old jett would still keep her dash. Now jett has to put her tailwind ability up at the start of the round but will lose it just like chamber if they go opposite site. Good nerf.
