Yay is the final boss of valorant, he can do it all
FNC: Groups, 6th, 4th
PRX: Groups, 4th, 2nd
??
I've always disliked them, especially suygetsu. Man's ego is so big and cries when someone shit talks him back
That's true I like shao and d00mbros, suygetsu i dislike in particular
I don't even mind that Optic lost today, just so happy FPX is finally out of the tournament. Never been a team in valorant I disliked more.
Today will be a sad day, Optic and DRX will lose 0-2 to LOUD and FPX. EMEA and Brazil just solos Floptic and ChokeRX, not even trying to jinx.
There's just no way DRX and XSET can recover from today's games, EMEA is gonna stomp them both 2-0. Not even jinxing, just sad facts
Are they really that bad? They seem fine to me
I just think that realistically some of these picks might be underdogs but I feel like PRX is very likely to lose to TL anyways with the way they have been playing, FPX played KRU close and I think KRU have it in the rematch, and I feel like LOUD are going to get upset in some stupid way again...
TL 2-1
ZETA 2-1
KRU 2-1
100T 2-1 (could see FNC 2-1 here)
What are your predictions?
Couldn't watch the game, please TL;DR
I think 100T has a pretty solid pearl although Optic looked a bit better, Fnatic's comp pretty much says it all...
Is he gone for the whole tournament or is there a chance that he can still come back?
I'll be rooting for Optic, just unfortunate that Fnatic wins the whole event
I know flag/flair and all but FPX is probably the most well-rounded team to win an event, all of their players are so good so it makes sense that none of them are super high up. What other team would have 3/7 of their players in the top 7 worldwide?
"i'll buy everyone who likes this post a champs bundle if DRX place top 3 at champs."
Liked the post, thanks for free bundle
Just saw that they crushed On Slayers, is China the future of valorant or what's going on? Can someone give me a recap?
So if you number the teams from 1 through 8, then for each match, you can either choose the lower number team to win or the higher number team to win, so there are two choices you can make per match. Since there are 14 matches, you would need 2^14=16384 pickems to account for each bracket once.
Guard is dominating LCQ, unlucky for everyone else
-Envy, - PRX they are just consistently great teams, not a honeymoon
+Fnatic pretty much every stage + Liquid LCQ-Champions
There's still a correlation between scrim and match results; teams that do very well in scrims have usually performed in matches later.
GMB: Used to be THE scrim demons back in Masters 2, won M3 Berlin and placed 2nd at Champions.
ENVY/OpTic: Were always known as a scrim team in NA even in the First Strike days, 3 top 3 finishes and a win so far.
Acend: iirc the coach posted some scrim stats and they performed very well in scrims, won Champions.
KRU: Also known as a scrim team (?) at least during Champions and maybe M3, top 4 at Champions.
Leviatan: I remember there was someone who said Leviatan was the strongest team they scrimmed and some players predicting them to win over DRX (I think it was Acend), beat XSET and played very close games against DRX and FNC.
FPX: Yay in Masters 1 said that FPX was the strongest team in scrims, won Copenhagen.
C9 and Ghost were also scrim teams iirc that popped off in matches later on
Stop having double standards. If Optic did not have poor form, then Fnatic also did not have poor form. This is their normal form, we have seen countless times now that they add a new player, honeymoon for a couple of months, and then return to their normal level. The way they played in qualifiers was insane form, if they replicate in at Champions, I'll eat my words, but every time they make a roster change the same thing happens.
In my opinion, Optic played slightly worse than at Masters 1. Individually, Victor played worse and Optic threw many rounds through poor trades / 5v4s that I don't see M1 Optic losing. I don't think they changed their game plans that much, and Neon is kind of a one-trick agent that teams that are very experienced with can easily shut down; this is why Optic's Fracture looked worse and worse. People are just more used to playing against Neon now since so many teams run the Neon comps, and Optic just didn't adapt. I think M1 Optic without changing their gameplans would still lose to PRX and FPX right now, they just improved faster. Hopefully they can rebound for champs.
After 4 events they have finally done it!
Not trying to bait, I think Leviatan has gotten through their mental hurdles with that XSET game, they drop Fracture and win the next two maps. Fnatic are a great team but I think Leviatan is going to be the ZETA of this tournament.
Nothing wrong with losing to LATAM, but losing in that way is just something else ...
Would it be possible to get info on who is holding what place by listening to the sound effects of their guns? For example, if only Cryo is using Sentinels of Light vandal and you hear the sound effects of that gun breaking a fade prowler, you would know who is playing there. Do you think any pro teams actually think about this?
EDIT: Damn I can't believe I never knew this, thanks for telling me
Honestly I think losing to XSET and going through groups actually helped OpTic, if you compare how they played in the Guild game to now. If they went straight to playoffs they would probably be in the lower bracket atm
LOL Sheldon Cooper gave me a chuckle
Yep, hate that country called NA
Not that unpredictable, I had Guild winning since they are so underrated, and Optic always warms up as the tournament goes on. As for Loud, it seems like Keznit always unleashes his fury against Brazillian teams specifically. At least the "KRU always beat Brazil" and "Optic can't take a map off EMEA" narratives are still true :P
In their last 3 LANs, they have finished 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the group.
Will they complete the cycle with a 4th place finish?
I don't think he IGLs, but his stats are comparable
Yeah yeah yeah, fluke this, fluke that, the tournament would be real exciting if the exact same teams made every masters and placed exactly the same every time right?
Maybe underdogs winning actually make the tournament more exciting.
I feel like Plat Chat is mainly for entertainment, it always confuses me when people take their takes really seriously. Looking at their Top 20 lists I don't think half of them even watch games at all
90% DRX qualify out of groups
50% FNC win
10% KRU beat one of LOUD/OpTic
Guild are so underrated, I don't know if they will make it out of groups or not but I'm sure they will surprise this Masters
Yeah, I call Pujan "FNS" and Jimmy "Marved", cause we're just close like that.
