it's absolutely relevant! in traditional sports, there are so many players on a team that a coach cannot possibly handle coaching duties while scouting other players and getting to know each individual player's situation comprehensively. thus, a general manager is brought in to help. in valorant, there are only five players on a team, so the coach is able to understand each player's strengths and tendencies intimately, often better than anyone else. that's why coaches usually do and SHOULD have the final decision.
