"less physically demanding" is just not the right way of putting it. Carpal tunnel, back problems, issues with core strength, general lethargy, are all issues that can happen when you're spending this much time doing one thing, especially when it exacts a heavy mental toll, not even including all of the mental health/physical manifestations of depression and anxiety that can result from overworking in any profession, let alone one of the most stressful in the world.

The omen ult idea is amazing. Caveat is that, once you place the shadow, you must teleport within a radius around it (probably about the same as a Sova dart), and if it is shot before you teleport you lose the ult but get refunded 2 or 3 ult points.

It depends on a few things, so this tip is a bit misleading. The depth of the smoke is important, which is usually determined by which team threw it. For example, if there's a smoke on Haven double doors and it's sticking way out towards you because it's flush on the other side, any player with a flash can pop out of it at any number of angles so it's impossible to prefire it. If it's flush towards you, it's unlikely to get pushed through, and even if someone pushes through it, it is easy to prefire it off of audio or just strafe away. The moral of the story here is to just not hold wide angles, hold somewhere you can easily fall back from unless you're Chamber, Jett, or a really confident Reyna.

"All that money could be used to support more scenes" sounds like more scenes in diff games, just misunderstood.

it's all the teams from the same game who qualify for a world-class tournament series, it's not like they didn't earn it. why would Valve ever give the DOTA prize pool to a game that is not DOTA that they do not make any money or benefit from in any way?

It's all taken as a part of their in-game purchases, so the more people play, the more they spend, the more competitive the esport gets. It's a very effective model for teams, fans, players, and Valve.

I think both OCE and India do have larger followings, with India's GE being very popular and OCE's Order being fairly well-known. It may also just be that they don't have any employees who follow that scene or speak the language of the region.

It might be a timezone thing, or just that they're more focused on updating major regions (no offense) that are playing at the same time.

keep in mind that GK isn't a bad team, it's basically just ex-Renegades

The real reason is partially that Riot want women to be able to compete more in standard tournaments, but also that the Academy teams often have direct links with the main roster (Poiz is a good example, was on main roster but was dropped) so they have a conflict of interest, whereas the women's teams don't usually share players. The goal of an academy roster is to eventually promote the talent that you hone in small events and scrims to the main roster down the line, which would also be an issue, because it would again create a conflict of interest and cause the academy roster to lose a member potentially mid-tournament where that member could then play against their former teammates/friends.

hudsen you forgot to update the current roster at the bottom <3

That's what I mean. Getting paid 6-figures by Sentinels would be insane for someone who's getting maybe a few grand a month in SEA.

For all the people who are saying "no, there's no way he'd leave his team", you have to consider how much PRX is paying him compared to how much a team like Sentinels could pay him. His wage in SEA is incredible- for an SEA citizen, but in NA, he'd be paid probably 10x or more what he gets from PRX.

he didn't say low skill ceiling, he said NO skill ceiling, he's saying that there is no limit to the potential for skill expression in various ways across regions

It isn't Europe to Turkey, it's Iceland to Turkey, about 2x the distance to central Europe.

This channel has some of the highest production quality and explanations I've seen in the val community, there are a couple of them that were on Split.

If this isn't supposed to be a joke, playing from Turkey to Iceland would be about 150-200 ping, so they would lose horribly to even the worst team there.

the FPX roster is mostly russian, they can't play because of that, so the suggestion is that Liquid (who are going in their stead) should carry an FPX flag to show respect for the team that should have been there.
