Zekken and JohnQT are non-negotiable. N4rrate should stay too. Bang is somewhat questionable, but I would like to give him another year with this roster, as long as he wants to stay.
What makes the most sense is a one-player change: -Zellsis +Cryo
Zekken, Cryo, N4rrate, Bang, JohnQT
On paper, this team can shoot out their fucking minds and would compete firepower-wise with the likes of G2, PRX, Fnatic, etc. In terms of roles, it's actually a better fit than many think. Cryo could play Jett/Yoru while Zekken plays Raze/Neon. Sen is a team that doesn't abuse the op as much and having Cryo, arguably top 2 oper in Americas, would open up that option. Zekken, while not playing duelist, could flex into flash initiator, omen, or Sova, roles he thrived in previously. In double controller maps, i.e. Lotus, Split, Bind, Breeze, you could have Bang play the more passive viper while Cryo, N4rrate, or Zekken fills Omen or Brim. In double initiator comps (which is kind of off meta, just play yoru) you would have Zekken or JohnQT fill alongside N4rrate, while Cryo plays Senti. Where it really gets interesting is when you look at the option they have with the newer Chamber + Senti comps with Cryo on Chamber and JohnQT anchoring on Senti. Double duelists is self explanatory with Zekken and Cryo.
How I see this panning out is Zellsis's contract expires, and he reunites with his bestie Immi on C9, replacing neT. I think Zellsis being so flexible is just a better fit for C9 than neT, with how weird the roles are since mitch joined. Bang is more likely to stay due to being on a 2-year contract, and realistically, who can they get in NA that's a better Smokes player? In order to get Cryo, it might make sense to trade Reduxx to 100t. Unfortunately, I don't think Reduxx is as flexible as we all want him to be, and he should honestly get his chance in tier 1 as a duelist player. It would make sense for 100t as he could be a solid duelist to build their roster around.
The hardest thing as a Sen fan is to see Zellsis go. The goat bundle salesman and vibes merchant. I don't think he's too bad mechanically, and he has his pop-off moments, but if you have a chance to poach Cryo, you have to take it.
I have also seen some people saying -Bang +Reduxx as well. It would be difficult as Reduxx can basically only play Omen, and on double controller maps or non-Omen maps, we would have to have someone else fill smokes. The 2 realistic options are Cryo or JohnQT. In either case you're taking Cryo off a role he could potentially op in, as he's forced to play smokes or util sentinel. Best case scenario is to have an op in Cryo's hand as much as possible. Honestly, if you want to have Reduxx on the team, you'd be better off keeping Zellsis as he can flex into more roles Reduxx struggles with.
This is just my opinion as an actual Sentinels fan (not one of the weirdos who dickrides when they win and shits on them when they lose). Overall, they are a pretty good team as is. I just don't see them outplacing G2 with this roster. Thoughts?
