I would say it's okay to be awkward initially but do not let it overtake you. Follow the natural instinct and let it flow. Do not try to force or orchestrate anything. Well unless you know someone who can build your PC locally, a lot of reputed and good custom pc building companies like Maingear, and BLD start from 1200$. Also, most pre-built PCs have shifted to the 30 series, you can rarely find the ones with the 20 series.
