RRQ did push A main a lot. they did adapt to the A short control as well: they tried actually putting people into the short area. they were outgunned and outstratted, I never disagreed with that, and they could've tried different things, but it's not like they just sat around to be rolled like that.

you saw 7 rounds in a row where RRQ watched tree and pizza because that's how you play for rotations on Ascent??? they should've tried to get more map control or pressure by playing off their available info imo but like ofc you're going to watch where the enemies want to be xd

DRX maybe could've won this, but there's no way BOOM or T1 in their current form would do that

like I don't get the hate here, they played bad, we both agree on that, but the judgment of some things here are just unnecessary AND downright wrong. these players all know better than we do; let's not be quick to judge especially considering this is their first time internationally and they faced a significant meta shift

that's not how Ascent works bro...
you forget that the entire time FNC is defaulting there's also the Vyse pressuring B main. many rounds where RRQ adapted and stalled the A short/A main push they pivoted into market into a B crunch. plus, this new comp from FNC just excelled at clearing close corners and mid regions because of the Vyse wall/flash and Chamber trip pressure. it's not like RRQ is sitting around not doing rotations or trying to get info or reclear, FNC just played better and had all these reactions planned

defense mid pushes are really easily punished on Ascent at the pro level. that's why you see a lot of sentinels play market and KAY/O playing short. nade stall and trip for info. if you don't have op, you tend to give up mid.

yes RRQ could've played a ton better. yes they didn't adapt much if at all. but saying like the solution is easy while they're pressured in their first Masters together, for some even first time ever and you're sitting on your couch making dogshit adaptations is embarrassing.

RRQ need revamps in strats and comps fs, just put Jemkin on the bloody Yoru man it's still a good agent

Map 2 was good for RRQ, map 3 was struggling against the new comp and they barely adjusted on defense. Map 1 was just bad. GGs FNC, they and GENG looks not only like in-form teams but also entertaining
