No no, they do have more synergy than Wolves right now. I apologize if I was unclear.

I think Sentinels is looking very good as a team right now, but unless I find a really good reason to support Sentinels the chances of me doing so will not be on the high side.

I have indeed been enjoying watching FUT during Champs and the offseason. I'll give this one a think.

posted about a year ago

In my opinion, that is a horrible reason to support a team.

That's most certainly something I'm considering. However, I really do think I've been with TL for a bit too long, and that I should probably be looking to find another team to support.

Dear vlr community, I'm geospliced.
I've got no real friends to turn to in my hour of need, so I've decided to turn to you, the vlr community, in search for a solution to my dilemma.
I am considering changing my flair. I have been a loyal Team Liquid fan since the 21' season, and I have continued supporting them since. However, I understand that times have changed, and that it might in fact be time to move on. Please, suggest to me a team and a valid reason to support them. I am open to all teams (preferrably Tier 1) and all regions. Of course, if none are of interest to me, I will remain a TL fan. I will be making a decision by the end of Wednesday.
If you do not want to indulge in this activity, I understand, and I hope you all have a fantastic day.
Thank you for your time,
geospliced

It depends on how you live tbh. If you have a family to raise and live in a large city/country I imagine it'll be much more expensive than if you live alone and don't live too luxurious a life.

Champions Jakarta?
It's about time for a Champions in Pacific anyways.

Look guys, I can't do much in the sense that I don't live anywhere remotely close to OCE, but it would be my pleasure to provide encouragement or something like it.

To be fair, while FNC are definitely the favorites for probably 90% of the matches they're going to play during the 2024 season, I don't know if they can pull off a trophy win this year.

posted about a year ago

Well, that's why it's on paper lol! Whether they work out in the future or not is up to them, but from the information we have atm, they're looking to be a banging team lol.

posted about a year ago

Sure, there were roster changes and whatnot but I don't think that should take away from Fnatics victory. It's not like they had a stroll in the park. I also wouldn't say that Masters Tokyo was a fluke, because while some teams did have subs, ultimately Fnatic did look better than everyone else, and it isn't their fault. They were just better.
Also, I wonder why the team with everyones expectations on their back lost in the biggest event of the year. Surely it can't be due to a myriad of factors that don't contain "fraud team" right?

posted about a year ago

No, you're very correct! The other four have indeed been playing together for a month or two.

Did you skip it? My PE classes (I don't take any this year) are taught by a cool guy with a PhD so it's always fun lol.

AG is definitely not bad on paper. In fact, I'd say that aside from NOVA (we don't know roster), all the teams look decent on paper. shameless hasn't really stood out to me, but maybe that's just me lacking while watching the VODs.
We'll see how it unfolds in late Feb. I guess (SO FAR AWAY AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH).
Have a good one Obsidian Echo!

I think you're overlooking Wolves a bit but it's alright.

I completely agree with you that Abo is a pretty good player. I mean, he's an experienced Valorant player and has been in the scene for quite the long time. I just don't know if they'll be able to contend for mid-table when the other teams like Wolves get their chemistry figured out.

To me, this isn't a long reply at all. In fact, I'd go on to give you credit for being clear and concise with your message.
I think you are indeed correct in the sense that TEC did indeed beat a mid BLG, and does indeed look to have good synergy between the players, which is great.
To be fair, I didn't account for synergy at all when making my rankings, and if I did I probably would place TEC above WOL and below TYL. TYLOOs core has been together for quite a while, and with hfmi on the team they're most certainly going to be a force to reckon with (unless they throw all their matches).
Cheers!

Thank you for all these updates. You're spearheading and sharing all the news with us and I cannot tell you how thankful I am. Keep up the good work!

I mostly agree with you, your top rated teams are great. The way it looks to me probably goes something like this:

EDG
--------------------tier gap--------------------
JDG
TE
FPX
--------------------tier gap--------------------
BLG
DRG
--------------------tier gap--------------------
TYL
WOL
TEC
AG
NOVA (roster unreleased)

I don't think TEC is better than TYL or WOL. I know they're rumored to be getting Rb but I have some doubts about the other players.

posted about a year ago

In my opinion, it looks like a mix of TEC and TYLOO.

Quite!

posted about a year ago

Yeah! That's something I agree with and also something I covered in my first paragraph, sorry for the confusion! I know for a fact though that some people will choose competitive over unrated simply due to the stakes involved.

This is pretty good.

Man no shot you still use Internet Explorer! I thought they retired that garbage.

posted about a year ago

Surely you jest. You can't possibly be insinuating that Masters and any other official VCT International LAN doesn't matter.

posted about a year ago

I think you're cooking to a partial extent.
If you're level 100-300, complaining all the time about your teammates, and still iron/bronze, then yeah might as well stop wasting time on a game you aren't good at/aren't enjoying.

If you're somewhat new to fps game/Valorant, and get stuck in a lower rank for a while, I think it's alright to continue playing. Ranks like Iron and Bronze are excellent for building up your basic skills, but are quite difficult to get out of (smurfs etc). But I don't think it's too much of an issue, especially if you're having fun. Some caterpillars take longer in the coccoon phase than others.

Ultimately, games exist to bring fun and entertainment to people, and I think that if you, regardless of rank, genuinely dislike playing the game, be it due to teammates or your own personal skill or whatever, then just stop playing.

When I started playing I was stuck in Silver for a long, long time. I took my time learning my basic mechanics and by the time I got out of Silver, I was riding the high tides of ranking up. But of course, everyone is different.

Watch JDG cook so hard on international LAN lol.

I appreciate it man! <3

I don't know about you but I think those blinds do a pretty good job at creating a small distraction for the team to enter site.

I think Reyna is very much a double edged sword. Either you have a great fragger who knows how to use their flashes to help the team, or you have a selfish, less intelligent player who can't figure out how to provide value to the team. I think that's part of what makes Reyna such a unique agent and in my opinion there is no reason to go as far as to completely remove her from the game. I do think that a massive rework should be favored in order to allow Reyna to be a more viable option in general.

Interesting interesting... Thanks for telling!

Interesting! I don't know much about NZ aside from the fact that they filmed some Lord of the Ring scenes there. Is there good cuisine in NZ?

posted about a year ago

I'm sorry for the confusion caused by my comment. I meant to say that Abo was both IGL and duelist for TEC and he was really good for them, got a couple 40 frags which was really good. I do agree with you that it would make sense for someone from the RA core to IGL for the majority RA core team.

posted about a year ago

So somewhere like New Plymouth?

posted about a year ago

If I recall correctly (which I might not), Abo was both duelist and IGL for TEC no?

posted about a year ago

Was he? Maybe I'm remembering wrong again. Smh I'm not even at that age yet.
Anyways, if I am indeed wrong, then I apologize for any misinformation communicated on my behalf.

But of course! The internet is very wide in the sense that there are so many different people you can meet. For example, never would I have thought that I'd be asking questions to a New Zealander lol.
