i dont think the problem is necessarily with skye nerf but with gekko buffs, at least in the first half of the year. he's too much of an exec agent and he was too strong on almost every map, turning most of them into attack sided. so we just watched the same round over and over again, because every exec was very strong, every post plant was very strong (specially sunset) and people were just playing retake instead of holding a bomb. there was no space for creative plays and readings because the best way to play was to just stick to the manual. pearl on 2023 was kinda like that too with the harbor viper, but there was much more space for counters

on the other hand we had a lot of fun plays with him because his util is very good for solo rounds (like sacy 1v4 vs loud), but most games were just kinda boring to see.

second half was better but it was just the neon and breach fuckfestival and it went to too much chaos too quick. but it was still too exec-oriented for my tastes

that's because our coaches crumble to media pressure and always bring the superstars and big names that overlap themselves instead of building a team with chemistry a defined game plan with specific player characteristics and players who actually want to be there and make a name for themselves

like how they bring just one classic 9 striker because they just couldn't let go of another winger in the last selection

2G gobera
FUR raafa

they never played on t1 tf you mean "stay" they definetly deserve the chance lol

posted 9 months ago

really disagree. while watching i felt like it was a competition of who was the less bad team, specially in americas. emea did seem a little better overall tho

posted 9 months ago

2024 was the weirdest and worst valorant year ever in terms of level of play and meta (and 2023 was the best)

posted 9 months ago

yeah they're one of two orgs that are not based on europe on GC EMEA this year and they got fucking smoked on main stage by a team that got 13-0'd 10 minutes ago sure they "speak for itself"

posted 9 months ago

very dishonest to say that when 80% of the orgs on GC EMEA main stage this year were based on europe lol

posted 9 months ago

i mean half of emea could fit in inside brazil

will be franchised in 3 years

neon will be a future GOAT

posted 9 months ago

maybe but he has been spamming meta sentinels (cypher, kj) on ranked so i highly doubt they're using double controller no sentinel comps tbh

maybe if they let go of one initiator and v1nny picks up sentinel
but still probably only happening in a few specific maps

posted 9 months ago

second one sorry im sleepy as hell lol i meant 4 kills

first one shouldn't count tbh tuyz was barely a controller yet that was like his 4th game in the role its a nuclear bomb x coughing baby situation

posted 9 months ago

i think this team could've been something in 2023 or 2024 tbh. next year seems too stacked and they just seem to be a step below. we'il see tho they might surprise

posted 9 months ago

i do think he has a more passive playstyle that fits better on sentinel so im excited for that role swap tbh

posted 9 months ago

mako just barely outfrags him by eight kills. tuyz has more assists, more KAST, more FK and its positive on FK/FD. rating kinda did him dirty tbh

i do think mako is a better controller and had a better overall 2023 tho just to clarify

posted 9 months ago

they def running back pearl double controller comps (probably switching viper for astra and skye for sova)

posted 9 months ago

disagree but i do think he was at least top 5 itw

tuyz unironically is better stats-wise as a controller in this match than mako lol

posted 9 months ago

Loud confirmed he's staying yesterday and he will play sentinel. Dude replaced pancada, replaced aspas, and now is replacing less. a few more years and he will play initiator and igl to replace sacy and saadhak LMAO

posted 9 months ago

that was only at the beginning of offseason. before aspas came to picture they would likely keep the same squad, only switching rich for qck or guhrvn

srn maquina de pipocagem pqp

posted 9 months ago

its pretty divided tbh, its mostly because of srn bad reputation and liquid being a very charismatic team and overall a public favorite, but the rest of mibr is pretty great and most people cheer for them

posted 9 months ago

i honestly dont think srn is faking being trans, i just think she's not a good person lmao

but some people just want to be transphobes lol

posted 9 months ago

great team, at least three of them will be on franchising in 2-3 years

posted 9 months ago

they're both great but not even top 5 in each role lol they do have the talent to achieve that tho

FNS - the best IGL in the world
Mada - top 3 duelist in the world
Som - arguably the best smokes player in the world

lets slow down there

posted 9 months ago

melser was the igl last season thats probably why hes still listed but the igl will be adverso

from what i heard he never wanted to be igl in the first place so its very unlikely he will still be now lol

posted 9 months ago

no, by the time loud was trialing players aspas was still deciding if he was leaving LEV, before he even got close to bleed. they got plenty of time to go after nzr and just... didn't

posted 9 months ago

i dont know if it fits because i dont know how this team will play. but i didnt like all knights at all. i think it was a very messy team that got surprisingly far on ascension because the meta favoured them and their opponents kept playing like they were pissing themselves. they had very stupid plays that somehow worked because the rounds were so chaotic no one predicted them

but adverso's team is much better now so maybe he can actually call better. i dont think the same playstyle would work tho

posted 9 months ago

first of all i think releasing saadhak was not the best move. while i understand wanting him out and dont know what happened inside the team, he could've learned from his mistakes. less would leave anyway so they would have a slot for a better fixed duelist who would actually be good at his role, go back to basics of the game, forget whatever garbage idea they had in 2024, and they would have a pretty good roster in their hands. he has been a top igl for a good while and one bad year shouldn't define him.

dgzin is a good choice, not my favorite but i like him. a lot of people wanted sato but i understand not wanting to wait until he's 18 in february, and not many players would accept being just a sub for the meantime.

now, they decided to release saadhak which is fine. they have some igls on the market, and they go for a guy who hasn't been igling for over a year. What? V1nny is a ok player individually but he wasn't particularly great on tier2, he never was a great igl, and he's just there because pancada recommended him (they're friends and played together before). which is... weird, at least. seems like they're lacking a scout, i guess, because no one really understand this choice.

they could've gone after nzr, which while being an unproven igl has actual recent tier1 experience igling, raafa before he joined furia, THE7 shion, could've even put cauanzin igling as he did before, even GLRYS urango would be a reasonable choice, and they just went with a very weird one.

also stk is staying as solo coach and im not a fan of this idea too. he never really had a good project as a head coach and i think he should have at least help with an assistant or analyst, or something. very weird decision too
