these losses aren't as bad at people are hyping them up to be but the trend of performances(not placements, but actual performances in the games themselves) between lockin/tokyo to champs and now here is concerning
this was a genuinely perfect team that then went to looking like they didnt deserve to win champs and now is getting borderline shredded by younger, newer teams playing a different style of valorant
the losses in themselves are not shock horror disaster the way its being talked about but there is a narrative here, deservedly so
this isnt something that can just get brushed off as an inevitable gods do bleed or whatever, we're talking about a team that did not drop a MAP between lockin final and eg uppers in tokyo(excluding the liquid final, because who cares), who they then 3-0d(albeit paperthin margins, but still a 3-0), and now they've been 2-0d TWICE by teams in their own region

its honestly an underpowered advantage, every other team has the cushion of the double elim which the other team in the final has used to even get to the final in the first place, the team that goes through winners loses that opportunity
if you want true fairness then we should make things even stronger for the team that goes through winners by giving them a bracket reset like a lot of systems do, but valorant doesnt do that because it would take an obscene amount of time
