Deadlock, Vyse, Sage and cypher

Cypher is still viable imo bc 0.9s is hella fast and most people dont have the time to flick down at feet level to break it.

Vyse is also viable you just gotta play more aggresive on defense especially to get that info you usually would get with the flash

Deadlock and sage are just agents i enjoy in some maps and they are now better since everyone else got nerfed

But the cypher being unusable is untrue you just dont know how to use him

Its between 2023 and 2025 but for me 2025 edges over it just barely

2023s schedule was kinda shit but i feel like we can let riot get a pass on that one as it was their first year of franchising.
2023 had lockin and personally i was ok with the single elim bracket as it was 32 teams and you just cant have double elim with that many teams, single elim didnt stop it from being hella entertaining tho.
We also had the very long regular season which didnt have all that many crazy things the most memorable was Kru and DFMs atrocious win rate but then after that we got masters tokyo

In Tokyo we had EG barely sneaking in and somehow making top 2 against all odds with a rookie we also had 2 chinease teams 1 of which would go on and take hearts of many with their star player at the front. PRX came into tokyo as favourites alongside FNC but when it was announced that Something couldnt play everyone was sceptical and they got CGRS a content creator to sub in? people did not think they would make it far but oops they made it to top 3 and they made it very entertaining too and ofc we had FNC winning dominantly but they still imo made it entertaining for everyone.

Then it was time for LCQ for the last time in Pacific it was Zeta coming through after not being able to qualify to tokyo with the home ground advantage, In emea it was Giants and Navi nothing too special there except that Navi where kinda struggling, Then in Americas it was Kru somehow qualifying to champions after going 0-9 in the regular season and beating all the odds.

Then we have Champions LA oh how i miss you, what can i say that other havent already, BLG incident, DRX getting 5-6th, PRX finally having something, Loud locking in, FNC dropping out and of course EG winning champions after BARELY scrapping through playoffs.

Meanwhile 2025 was just as entertaining if not more?
We started the year with Kickoff in Pacific it was finally DRX who got crowned champions and T1 coming in secound place. GenG after their rebuild just barely didnt make it coming to top 3 but PRX was nowhere to be seen in the podium as they got dismantled by DFM,
In EMEA it was VIT coming into first place with their new roster looking very scary, and it was TL by surprise coming into the secound place beating out the likes of TH and FNC as fnc looked shaky at the start with their new signings crashies and kaajak.
In Americas it was none other than G2 and SEN nothing too special here except that MIBR got third place with Aspas leading the way showing how its done.
In China it was EDG the reigning world champions and Trace having my goat Kai leading the way.

Bangkok started and we had no major surprises (if ur not sen fan that is) but then T1 snuck their way into top 4 being regarded as the worst team in the tournment alongside trace and they then somehow won it? Beating everyone after losing to EDG in their first game.

Then we had toronto with PRX finally winning it after coming so close yet again. FNC coming #2 place after finding their footing. and Wolves??? somehow getting into top 3.

To bring the year to an end we had Champions Paris 2025 and well you guys know what happned here i dont think i need to explain it.

So what do u guys think is the best year of VCT and why? (i got lazy in the 2025 section because its fairly known stuff)

We beat liquid twice (emea stage 2 winners)
and had a close game against NRG while having mako playing his worst international performance in like ever. And remember we where winning map 2 and 3 11-8 if we didnt troll the corrode it woulda been a quick 2-0

Pretty much everyone is on form except maybe Mako and free1ng

Free1ng looks so much more comfortable with cypher rather than vyse tbh but my biggest worry is Mako. he had a awful game against NRG but played so good againt liquid twice

BeyN seem to have fixed his aim and his energy is unmatched
FlashBack and Hyunmin are on the form of their lives
