i agree to an extent, feels like GenG have it down on both attack and defense, whereas it felt like HYUNMIN and MaKo at times were the only ones really going for plays on defense and pretty much nobody on attack for DRX; would love to see free1ng given more reign to take opening duels on attack, i think long-term we could see a role swap for free1ng to initiator and Flashback on senti

this is my prediction for the final two GenG players if Lakia does not re-sign, LOB is a really strong player and could be a huge upgrade from Lakia. SacrificE is former T1 Academy with a ton of potential and great raw aim, think they might go a similar route to grabbing Karon by finding more undeveloped talent and molding them with this incredible coaching staff

posted about a year ago

these are not dark horse teams lol, majority of the teams you listed are known strong rosters/international contenders

pretty sure he has on icebox before, even so i would be extremely confident in him to play it at a high level. he was a massive innovator during the astra meta and has pioneered a lot of different viper setups on maps (one of the first to do cross map early smoke setups on defense breeze, new meta ults/walls, etc.)

Burzzy would be so sick

karon has unreal aim and is a great clutcher, but MaKo is maybe the best decision maker in the entire game. he has picked up every controller agent and played it at a world-class level, as well as becoming a really serviceable caller within only a few months of taking it up. as insane as karon will be going forward, MaKo is perennially a top player in the world. i would try to include both before snubbing MaKo tbh, put Karon on senti or smth

madrid was way weaker competition than Shanghai lets be real, also i think anyone with half a brain could tell from eye test that 100T were insanely good in Shanghai, arguably only GenG was in better form. 100T just made simple mistakes and whatever team chemistry error they had that prevented them from making a deeper run

yea just surprised they didn't go after more ambitious players when you have had nAts for 2 years, like anyone could have told you Mistic +enz0 were rather bland pickups before last season. they're not bad players by any means, but if ur competing for championships atp its obvious that you need better talent

posted about a year ago

ever since start of partnership when they didnt go for sheydos to pair w nAts and Redgar, esp when he was FREE... i just knew liquid was cooked, maybe KOI offered an absolute bag but Liquid is not a broke org by any means

"if you guys hate him so much" implies that, at the very least, ur apathetic toward his actions or u dont think what he did is very serious. so that is pretty close to defense/support of him

boostio's impact is mostly from his calling, leaf is arguably the most in-form sentinel in the world right now. aspas is fair but kiNgg is an insane player in his own right. you said build a team with a player from each region, not who is the best player in each region lol

posted about 2 years ago

i mean for sentinel who else could you argue is ostensibly better than leaf from NA?

posted about 2 years ago

best player in apac, top 3 support in EMEA, best flex in China and top 5 player in the region, top IGL and player in general, top 3 sentinel in the world.... my bad i didnt make a chatgpt lineup like you

if he was eligible, he would walk into MiBR or Furia and i think i would take him over TuyZ on LOUD for duelist too, hes fucking unrea

i like Shon7 and Nicc is IGL, i think they need 2 moves to fully compete internationally so TZH would go imo

vo0kashu is insane but with luke they can never be top 1, he ints so much. if they got Z1yan and maybe Snail for TZH i think they would be nasty

koalanoob is clear of mada, he has so much impact. mada has been better this split, but historically koalanoob is way more consistent, hes a top OPer in the world not just t2. id also take reduxx before mada, more flexible and better OPer as well

this is just not a mindset that most t2 pros will have, for the viability of their individual career in the long-run it makes more sense to join a tier 1 team regardless of your current team's chances at winning ascension. i think if you were to argue for him staying on KPI, it would be for the benefit of waiting till the end of the season to have a wider variety of offers from T1 instead of only the teams making changes in the middle of the season (more limited)

I agree with your assessment of Shao and SUYGETSU, as well as Zyppan to a degree, but i think ardiis hard caps this team unfortunately. even though he can play off-roles in comps where Zyppan gets to play raze, his flexibility is not much special outside of chamber and KAYO. i also do not think he is a world-class jett at this point in the game anymore

posted about 2 years ago

BLG wont be top 5 imo, they are changing IGL and other cores make a stronger case than theirs imo... JDG and FPX will be better right away and i think with time Trace, TEC, and Wolves will all be better

in what way does he play "any agent to its max potential," he has literally only shown consistent high level performance on jett and chamber, his brimstone and astra maps are pretty big outliers in the context of EG's season... their fracture had virtually flawless macro and he had practically no individual responsibility in that comp. as for lotus, he was basically given full freedom to just hold angles and place stars for execs. obviously his aim is world class, but what has he demonstrated that makes you say he has the best game sense? especially compared to players who are hyper flexible and have mastered multiple agents (and agent classes) across multiple metas like Chronicle, or ultra consistent top-level performers like MaKo and f0rsaken. even if you wanted to pick an Americas player, id take aspas over him every day given his ability to play all duelists at a high level

Acend winning champs was mickey mouse because they were a team completely based on form and super inconsistent the whole year outside of champs. They also lost to VK and had to replay, and only barely beat Gambit in the GF. the playoff bracket was also really favorable for them, it was single elim and they got the best draw for playing Secret and TL before finals. considering they also pretty much imploded a few months after champs, i would definitely weigh their title pretty low compared to other LAN titles. to me, FNATIC winning LOCK/IN is pretty high up there

i think this roster is slightly underwhelming given the potential pickups that could have been made. i think Enzo is about as good as it gets for free agent IGLs, and ill admit i havent watched a ton of Keiko. but Mistic is a pretty known quantity in tier 1, especially in big tournaments. i really would have preferred getting Burzzy and taking a chance on young talent to develop. mistic is a good player, but im afraid his ceiling is a bit too low for what liquid deserves as an org and what Jamppi and nAts are capable of as players.
