Fam what do you... oh wait, flair checks out

posted about a year ago

Shit, even SEN fans have turned against him lol

posted about a year ago

Idk what's the issue anymore, but as an igl aren't you supposed to react when you see your team flatout falling apart and playing so disconnected

posted about a year ago

you okay my guy? why are you having a mental breakdown on vlr

posted about a year ago

I'm ranked higher than Kyedae but lower than Zombs

this team is a lost cause as of right now, hopefully they get it together soon asap

People here do not realize that even his guns are designed so he has more options to slow down the pushes, which is what makes him a sentinel on defense, while he's that sentinel-second entry combo on offense.
Nerfing his trademark is a must, but not like this. His slows are what's essentially overpowered, lasting for 9s (correct me if I'm wrong), so maybe if they made it last 5-6s it wouldn't be so punishing to push a site where Chamber is anchoring.
His gun drawing animation (Headhunter and Tour-de-Force) should also be increased, because right now it's lowkey overpowered, as you're able to mindlessly run in with 3 bullets against 2 opponents, and whip out your Headhunter to finish the job in a lot of instances.

statistically, i think kj is only better on one map lol

Lol, get this shit on hltv, plus, half of these are ridiculous

Sentinels qualify for masters lol

People who downplay the impact d3ffo has on offense in Gambit's structure really do not understand how they play, except on a surface level.
He is incredible at creating space and pressuring sites which often results in confusion when defending team gets overwhelmed on the site. This results in him getting picked off early when a site is being pressured, which they HAVE TO do, as they often attack the site during the late rounds because they play for almost a whole minute passively, trying to punish opponents' aggression. Of course, stats will never show you this, which is, unfortunately, often used as a reference when evaluating the players' performances.
He is not Derke, aspas, yay type of Jett, which people often wrongfully compare. I'd rather see 15/20/0 Jett being traded on a winning team, than a 30/15 Jett on a losing team... shit is a red flag lol

posted about 2 years ago

Of course, people overused him on certain maps where he is actually inefficient and he should've fallen out of the meta for specific maps long ago (Bind, Haven for example)... he is still a must-pick on Icebox, Ascent and Breeze so he is here to stay.

posted about 2 years ago

Okay, maybe there's an argument for steel being very inefficient in shot calling... but FNS??? Like...fr?
They just won Masters lol, and his shot calling won them so mamy crunch time rounds lol

Indeed, however, these non movement based duelist (include Yoru here, but 100% agree with your take) could be balanced in a way where their biggest advantage would be the surprise factor thay is created by tossing out your utility fast which would create a lot of momentum and take away space from enemies in a quick manner, making counters obsolete.

In example of Phoenix, it would work like, you toss a molly from a far, wall of half of the site, clear half, flash through the wall and clear the other half of a site behind a wall with teammate's help.

Personally, I see this as the only way to make these kind of agents viable and not replaceable easily by aggressive initiators. I'm glad you brought it up.

posted about 2 years ago

Phoenix (like Reyna and Yoru) cannot use movement to create space as efficient as Jett, Neon or Raze. His kit is not movement based, therefore it needs to be buffed with space taking in mind. Heres my approach to this buff, let me know how you would buff Phoenix.

Wall - make it like Viper's... Still lasts the same, still damages the same but can go through the walls to instantly deny the vision of the opponents
Flash - 1,1second is so garbage, it needs to last at least 2 seconds, not to be pushed away from meta by flashing aggressive initiators (Skye and KAYO) just for that one reason
Molly - Make it so Phoenix can toss a molly from a bigger distance to have more safety when clearing angles (binded to the left click) and keep the way molly currently falls after a second (binded to the right click) & still recharges after 2 kills
Ultimate - make it last 2 or 3 more seconds, but increase the amount of orbs, kills or deaths it takes to charge it to 7

It doesnt change much tbh, toxic instalocks are still gonna scream if you pick Jett, respectful players are gonna eithe adapt & play another agent or ask you nicely not to lock it.
IMO, people are overreacting

posted about 2 years ago

painful, i know

posted about 2 years ago

These guys are young, they could adapt quickly since they all have lots of potential.
In good team environment I think he can easily prosper even on that role.

Think of OPTC Marved type of Controller.

same as zombs

you know very little of a game you talk about and even less about management duties in business

posted about 2 years ago

L speculation with no factual argument is an understatement

posted about 2 years ago

Since you want a logical argument, while btw, you offer zero value with your takes...
Crashies plays his role of gathering information and allowing his cracked teammates yay, marved and victor to take away that space on defense.
On offense he fulfills his duty of creating space and allowing his teammates to play off his gathered info, while he is there to trade.
He fullfills his role and clutches fairly often. Do you really want your Sova and anchor to frag out while you literally have yay on your team?
Yet, him whiffing few shots lately and him having a lesser KDA while STILL being more than valuable for his team and more valuable than 90% of Sovas for his team is your argument for "-cRaShIeS"

L take is an understatement

bruh i called out people in your trhead wym
literally everyone thrashes him

posted about 2 years ago

If you think FNS needs to be replaced you dont know jack shit about fps or Valorant lol

He is top 3 IGL in NA and literally the reason these guys won on multiple occasions. His shot-calling has been top-notch in whole 2022.

posted about 2 years ago

Cannot compare the teams imo, they play with much more cohesion and strategic depth than KRU did.

posted about 2 years ago

Or Zeta is actually the real deal and the team that is more than capable of making deep runs in national events?
Can they keep this up after Iceland? Or is it a fluke?

They have been countering every team they came across, and beat them at their own games practically.

posted about 2 years ago

Vlr's childish and boring "NA this" & "BR that" region slander aside... this game was AMAZING to say the least.
At times they were going back and forth trying to counter each other mid round. So enjoyable.

GG Loud, GL to Optic!

Reasonable, I just hope their decision won't impact the player of Magnum's caliber in a negative way, I know he's been struggling with his mental lately.

Mistic on a flex duty is actually the most surprising thing here, he's more than an efficient controller.

posted about 2 years ago

Too early to tell, they will definitely need some time together

Am I the only one that doesn't believe in keloqz's ability to play off team's utility?

It would be cool to see him on Vitality with Bonecold (if rumours are true of course), his movement looks clean af

I feel like they were overburned from playing a match multiple times for multiple days in a row. Plus that glorious Fnatic match...
It's a shame, I almost never would look for excuses when it comes to teams' performance, but I'm convinced it was a fluke that they didn't qualify for Masters.

posted about 2 years ago

Literally no one is important on this site lol
People think they are something more than casual fans talking about the game or just shitposters

posted about 2 years ago

Its vlr, quickest bandwagon fanbase on the internet.

You are right about DRX, they were a joy to watch, but their mental issues are on full display. As soon as the momentum is not swinging their way, they call a timeout. If that timeout doesn't come to fruition, they go full panic mode, and they don't look coordinated at all.

posted about 2 years ago

He was a borderline star player during his first stint with SEN. He was a great Sova+Raze/Phoenix, but obviously, meta has changed. With the current SEN roster, it would be impossible for him to fit there, roles would clash and few players would have to adapt from map to map, which is not necessarily good. I just feel like him squeezing into this roster would be bad, even if "zombs leaving" rumors are true.

Individually, I think he is still a great player and capable of playing in tier1 competition. What potentially could backfire is if his mental is not in the right state, as he is gonna face more pressure and coverage than any other NA player.

posted about 2 years ago

They gotta work on their mental, but they are also all very young, so you cannot hold it against them

posted about 2 years ago

Too add to a great thread, people keep forgeting how young they are... all are between age of 19-22 as of right now, sky's the limit for them

posted about 2 years ago

just checked 19 pickems where user had no flair of a team featured in masters and only one had DRX winning tho

I dont think many people had them winning it all lol

KRU forced everyone to play their own game at times which favored them in most instances, which resulted in them eventually falling to Gambit juggernauts who kept playing their own game and punished KRU. It had its moments of greatness and was joyous to watch but from a strategic standpoint it was nothing to write home about.

ZETA showcased many moments of brilliance throughout the whole Masters. They adapted to every opponent and countered them to perfection. Every single map they've played, they would chip away map control, piece by piece and slowly beat their opponents. They got no big names, star duelists, hard carries or anything like that... Just brilliant defaults, executes and adaptation.

ZETA most definitely!

However, the hype around KRU at the time was enormous and not to be underestimated.

Ive been telling you that this guy was top 5 controller last year, and now is on the top of impactful controllers list
