100% my opinion but i feel like

APAC/Korea has the best smokes players in general
China has the best senti players in general
EU has the best initiators in general
NA has the best igls in general
SA has the best duelists in general

Life does have a point as a Valorant player, but his recent Masters London performance makes that point harder to defend as elite-level impact. His role on DRG is to bring duelist pressure, take space, and create openings through aggressive fights, especially on fast-paced agents. However, DRG struggled at Masters London, losing 0–2 to Team Vitality and then 1–2 to Xi Lai Gaming, which showed that Life’s individual presence was not enough to consistently carry the team against stronger international competition. The point of Life is still his mechanical upside and ability to set the tempo, but based on recent results, he needs stronger consistency and impact to be viewed as a top-tier duelist.

Duelist - Xiesta
Flex - Izu
Initiator - Xross
Smokes/IGL - MaKo
Senti - Fric

This team will deadass drop 0 maps against PRX/G2/TH/VIT/NRG/FUT/LEV.

wait 2 years for Xiesta to turn 18 and they will be unstoppable.

Xiesta's entire professional Valorant career includes

7-0 in series
15-1 in maps
16 game where he went positive
0 games where he went negative

Instantly took a mid tier 2 korean team (ONSIDE) and made them 3-0 the best tier 2 korean team (Gen.G Acad) in Grand Finals

Most rounds played where a 100% KAST is maintained in a series across Regionals/Masters/Champions (25 rounds, ongoing)

posted 4 days ago

the good thing about all regional matchups is that it is IMPOSSIBLE for the next set of 1-1 matches to be from the same region

GLYPH igled the Winthrop roster into Ascension, and he has over 3000+ rounds on Sova in his professional Valorant career. Over his entire professional career, while ~70% of his games were smokes, ~25% of his games were initiators.

With GE destroying Lev, from the limited sample size we have, we see EU > APAC > AMER.
The sample size is very small since both Team Vitality and NRG were given Byes for their first matches, more info to follow.

Holy hindsight harrys "WhY aRe tHeY pLaYiNg a DoGsHiT aGeNt"
I would much more trust the meta reads of 3 coaches that made VCT than a bunch of Gold 2 players larping in vlr.

If only FS played Neon and got shit on, the Neon hate and the hate for lack of change could be justified
However, with both LEV and GE playing Neon on Pearl should show that the people at the highest level still believe in Neon's space-making utility.

china should not get 3 slots

BBL, NAVI, FNC, sneak, MIBR >>> for skill+entertainment purposes

imagine we got NAVI vs NRG and MIBR vs VIT today. wouldve been so much better

Map Picks/Bans
FS bans Ascent / FUT bans Pearl
FS picks Lotus / FUT picks Haven
FS bans Breeze / FUT bans Split
Fracture Remains

Lotus 71% FS, 29% FUT

  • Interesting to see what S0pp choose to play instead of Neon, assuming xeus plays Raze.
Option 1: Jett (Waylay?) keep a similar style as before.
Option 2a: Chamber/Sage, with yetujey on Vyse
Option 2b: Chamber/Sage, with yetujey on Viper

  • Highly doubt FS changes anything about their comp.

  • On Lotus, FUT’s win condition probably has to be pace variation. If they simply try to replace Neon with Jett and run the same tempo, FS should be comfortable absorbing it. FUT need to mix fast C hits, delayed A splits, and mid pressure so FS cannot just anchor comfortably behind utility.

  • Swapping over from a double duelist comp to a comfort pick to something new will definitely be hard especially on a map FS is favored on, win condition should be how well S0pp can ease into his new role. He has been playing Jett a lot in ranked recently. [https://tracker.gg/valorant/profile/riot/FUT%20s0pp%2300001/maps?platform=pc&playlist=competitive&season=ce2783e8-44fc-dd48-3da3-33b5ba6c4a22]

Haven 48% FS, 52% FUT

  • Could go both ways, but it could also be a blowout for either team
  • I would assume FUT runs Jett for S0pp and Waylay/Phoenix for xeus, again, the transition from perma-neon in VCT to Jett will be key.
  • Full Sense needs to have a strong defending half to win this match, as they had horrible, their Defense WR vs. teams that run Phoenix has been abysmal. Winning pistol round on defense/not letting FUT convert their Bonus will be the win condition, I really hope FUT picks Phoenix over Waylay on Haven.
  • FS will most likely run Primmie Jett, JitBoyS on Phoenix, with Cypher > Chamber for Leviathan.

Fracture 58% FS, 42% FUT

  • Arguably JitBoyS strongest map, especially on Neon. With the new Neon nerfs, adaptability to new roles will be the key.
Option 1: Primmie plays Jett, JitBoysS plays Phoenix. This will allow Primmie and JitBoyS to play one agent on both Haven/Fracture/Pearl, seemingly the most likely.
Option 2: Primmie plays Phoenix, JitBoysS plays Raze. JitBoyS might opt to stay on Neon on this map, arguably one of Neon's best maps even with the heavy nerfs.
  • FUT will most likely S0pp and xeus on Raze/Phoenix, keep the yetujey on Cypher, Krostaly on Fade.
  • Fracture is probably the highest-variance map in the set. It rewards teams that can make fast layered calls, but post-Neon, both sides may lose some of their old instant-contact timings.
  • Watch B-main and Arcade control. If FS consistently deny FUT early B-main space, FUT’s attack can become one-dimensional. If FUT repeatedly split sites with Fade utility and clean pinch timing, Fracture becomes much closer than the map percentage suggests.

Prediction: FS 2 - 1 FUT
TLDR: Post-Neon nerf adaptability, especially for S0pp, is key

Xi Lai Gaming vs. NRG Analysis

[Map Picks/Ban]
NRG Ban Split; XLG Ban Fracture;
NRG Picks Breeze; XLG Picks Lotus;
NRG Ban Ascent; XLG Ban Pearl;
Haven Remains

[Map 1/2: Breeze] [Depending on which team picks map first] NRG 79%, XLG 21%

  • NRG will most likely dominate unless Happywei preps harbor
  • Playing Viper leaves XLG weak on retakes against an execute heavy team such as NRG.

[Map 1/2: Lotus] NRG 47%, XLG 53%

  • Attacker sided map, will depend on how well NRG anti-strats XLG's triple sentinel comp.
  • Hoping to see a comp change from NRG, if I was Bonkar I would unironically prep:
Mada - Raze, Keiko - Omen, Scuba - Senti, Ethan - Fade/Kayo/Tejo, with Brawk. on Sova
Sounds stupid on paper but teams have found success running double recon on Lotus, Brawk's odin should be the win condition against XLG's stall heavy postplants/defenses.

[Map 3: Haven] NRG 63%, XLG 37%

  • NRG should dominate on paper, but XLG is not a bad Haven Team.
  • NRG's A site retakes against XLG's A site hits should be the focus of this match.

i think people forgot how good prime mako was, especially now that he is igling (and still fragging out).

he was the first pro smokes player to use smokes "aggressively", creating timings, playing in/next to his smoke to isolate impossible fights in 1vX scenarios.
