He couldn’t adapt to the pro scene.

This, I liked the earlier players but I respect the ones who stuck through now to play the game. I respect them even more than the pros who played when the game was new. In this case, I noticed EMEA/APAC teams adapted well to each new meta quickly compared to NA. Only Optic/TSM used to innovate some kind of a meta for NA but they couldnt keep up with the game when analysts entered the scene like it did for CSGO. You just cant beat stats/numbers over 25 rounds. You might win a couple rounds through hero plays here and there, but team strats will prevail now.

you can see his tilt plays during The Nation games which lost them crucial rounds/maps.

everyone knows the issue, but no one wants to say it. remove pati and you will get the synergy back.

I dont think its especially rossi, JP really loves the 2021 valorant scene, sentinels, GE, nAts, fnatic, prx, and obviously zeta. I'm glad the 2021 energy has returned to valorant, chamber made the game too passive, the jett meta brought out the excitement again imo.

it is mostly archery/swimming/gymnastics tbf. They are all generally "individual" sports again, with no need for as much teamwork required in esports.

rank up game

riot knows and intentionally fucks you up here, rank up games especially from silver to gold or gold to plat and so are the toughest to play. The algorithm doesnt care much between gold 1/2/3 but you get to gold to plat rankup match, you are going on a 4-5 loss streak if you're not careful. I always suggest players to stop playing for a day after 1 loss during rankup games. It is about to put you in the "loser's Q" and wreck you to force you to play more. check out, reset come back next day and the algorithm for your MMR slightly gets better/resets/forgets.

EDG was very close to beating PRX and again NRG on their first matches played. They played against PRX which just came off a master's final run against FPX. NRG just got lucky with the last 2 rounds on pearl. If you watch the invitational matches, you can see how talented they are and the synergy/aim to go with it. Its similar to DRX initially who were good but just couldnt close out matches, now they can. Just give them time and FUT is causing issues to top EMEA teams right now.

They dont play international sports well too, only their own sports. The only sports domain where NA does well is the Olympics but even there china and EU compete with them.

I came back to playing the game regularly since the chamber nerf and its fun again. Im sure pros felt the same way as a whole other than some chamber 1 tricks. Even watching pro matches, I will take this jett/raze meta over chamber holding an angle for 1 minute and TP'ing to untradeable positions. Valorant is healing after the chamber nerf, a mini KJ nerf will also help the game. The recent changes with util not destroying ults, ults destroying ults, ally util not affecting each other like shocks/nades/mollies not destroying trips/kj swarm/alarm bots made the game consistent. fade might need a small buff too but the game is balanced at this instant

Successful teams rarely had ranked grinders/streamers

Optic (the best example of silent killers)

Loud (sometimes aspas/saadhak/sacy did but not as freq as they do now)

Gambit (sometimes nAts used to)

Acend

Sentinels till the Iceland win

PRX

FPX

Something about the ranked grind or just streaming throws off the talent.

any pro who goes the streamer/drama route is always in for shockers. it is what it is.

on lotus, they were the opposite. C9 was letting them plant and retaking them every time.

posted about 2 years ago

The missed AWP shot at 11-11 in a 3v2 lost them the map. C9 had no money too if they lost that and they would've gone into the 3rd map pumped since bang/derrek/asuna popped off to get the comeback. all cryo had to do was hit that shot in heaven.

they look off with pati. nowhere close to synergy they had at LOCKIN//. I think the org has to make a choice, sometimes star players (like ronaldo) only bring a team down even though they score a lot of goals.

are you a student of the game? do you try to play your agent to the fullest using all their little gimmicks? aim-duels are indeed just one part of the game. I have been stuck in gold/silver for a year but I can hold my own in plat/diamond lobbies when I play. I avoid taking aim duels and util spam them effectively (sova/cypher/KJ). Im not confident sometimes in my aim-duels so I just dont take them fairly. Another thing I usually notice is people just dont play the game enough, if you keep playing somewhat frequently, you will get better. Im pretty sure your plat games from a year ago look different than the current matches. The new ascendant rank introduction doesnt help, the episode reset doesnt help bringing higher elo players to your elo. Taking these two into consideration I dont think you should be upset.

“On Split, it felt like they were [saving] rounds they had a big chance of winning, or at least a good chance,” Destrian commented. “That helped us build so much economy, because they would just leave to save and we'd be four guys alive, three guys alive. I think that was a pretty big mistake"

if the players themselves arent confident in retakes how do you expect coaches of KC to teach them strats about retakes. saving might work in ranked but pro matches, you have to hurt the economy as much as possible.
