That’s something new that I didn’t think about.
But imo Viper is very necessary for map controls, which is what many analysts called the “mini-game of Lotus”: control of neutral spaces is more valuable on this map than on any other maps.
I would sacrifice info for map controls but it might change later this year. lets see
Chamber imo doesn’t bring much value on this map in pro-play other than being a 2nd duelist (?)
KJ has the turret for defaults. despite losing almost half of its Lines-of-sight it can still hold down chokes on both attack and defense. And her other utils are just too useful.
Chamber on the other hand only has 1 trip that is easily broken AND super limited by the player movements.
KJ is still the best sentinel bc of the agent settings, just like how jett was the most OP duelist.

Yea the fact that no OCE orgs were franchised despite OCE being one of the major components of APAC region is basically what made me turn to NA VAL.

Imo she’s viable on any map that sage was viable on, despite being weaker than sage.

The map changed a bit BUT the changes aren’t big enough to shake up the entire meta comp. Old meta comp still works except I could see cypher being played a lot more.

EG will NOT be higher than G2 or C9 if only 2 (maybe even 1 since C0M is rumoured to leave) of the champs player remains.

Gambit return sounds crazy but idk abt the other 2 teams.
240hz is enough for most games, above that the difference is almost unnoticeable to the majority of people.
So yea get the first one it’s good enough for VAL. Plus 1440p is cool too and val isn’t really a graphics demanding game

Sage wall lasts 40 seconds, which was pretty much the spike countdown, and takes a full vandal mag to break. It’s pretty OP against late retakers.
Harbor cove doesnt last as long and it can be entered and the defuser can be killed in the mean time of planting

They’ve basically established the meta for 2022 - and created meta comps on a lot of maps which the modern day comps were based on. It’s not about forming an era but more about their contribution to the game.
1 champs could be enough but yea I’d like to see at least 2 splits and 2 masters. Since there are more teams now after franchising

Harbor viper sage are a must, not sure whether we need a duelist at all or not.
I’m really not sure abt flash initiators bc there are so many closed spaces on this map that you can easily play anti-flash off of.
Depends on whether it is an aim duel or full gameplay.

Nitr0 played cypher on 100T a lot so I’m thinking he’ll be on sentinel. The game is stepping into a cypher meta with the current map pool and lotus changes
Defenders still have to fight for map controls but yea theres more spots to hide in
The playstyle of this map doesn’t involve much lurking so I don’t really see that being a problem.
What you see as lurking is probably Kj and viper defaulting and holding map spaces which isn’t really lurking imo

It’s with the placement of trips. You can place it very close to the choke that has some spaces behind the door (which was what this patch was about) so that the defenders cant break the trip without walking into it.
That’s one of the only good parts abt the change cus now vipers can no longer just sit in tube and rat people out
I liked the change to B orange tbh - no more ring around the rosie midround with defenders
It’s better than it was tbh. I still don’t like it tho. It’s easier to go out of B now. They didn’t change A at all which imo was the worst part about Icebox
