Just a system VLR thing, don't read into it too much. It's most likely gonna be the same 5 that it's been all tournament

That's not a bad thing

He's always been very good on a few maps. His two highest picked maps so far are Haven and Sunset, which he's been played on since the beginning

Only Sentinels and Paper Rex played any Vyse, and it was only one map each. Vyse's tournament pickrate is 13%, while Cypher and Killjoy are at 36% and 30% respectively.

To say it's just the first seeds not picking Vyse is a bit misleading

Okay but KRÜ 2-0'd SEN. So if SEN is the best team then VCT 2025 is mickey mouse. That's how that works, right?

+1, I genuinely don't get this argument. If it was cutting enemy momentum then I'd get it, but that rarely happens

If you shift walk while jumping up a ramp, it becomes silent

Something I do in-game is assign spacebar as the alternate keybind for both shift walking and jumping. Gives me the option of using scroll wheel to jump normally, while using spacebar to silent jump

If you wanna call them onliners, then feel free. All I'm gonna say is that they wouldn't be the only team in history to turn things around with a change in meta and a change in playstyle

He's listed as on-air talent for the event so I'm assuming he's gonna cast the final few games with Bren (https://valorantesports.com/en-US/news/masters-toronto-everything-you-need-to-know#:~:text=Masters%20Toronto%20On%2DAir%20talent)

Oh yeah, completely forgot about Eintracht, thanks

The success of Wolves Esports means Wolverhampton Wanderers are the first football club to have an esports team make it to VCT, let alone the top 8 of an international tournament.

Barça eSports have been in Challengers Spain since the start of 2024.
Corinthians and Grêmio are both in Challengers Brazil, though Grêmio aren't in Stage 2. Corinthians also have a Game Changers team in Brazil.
Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe have both been in the Turkish scene since 2021, and Galatasaray had a Game Changers team for part of 2023 as well.

What other football clubs have found their way into VALORANT esports?

  • Eintracht Frankfurt is in Challengers DACH
  • UCAM is in Challengers Spain
  • Parma Calcio has a Game Changers team in Italy
  • Persija Jakarta was in VCT Indonesia in 2022

Probably the most audacious pickem I've ever seen, respect

Edit: nvm you have China going out 0-4, I've lost respect

It's not an unfair take if you only look at the results and the opponents. It's entirely unfair, though, if you watched GEN play in those two matches, because they geniunely looked leagues above everyone else

On one hand, what you're saying is true. DRX has insane scouting and management, and at this point it's basically a given that anyone they add to their main roster is cracked

On the other hand, the main reason no other team like DRX exists is because if any other team has 5 players that good, they keep those 5 players. DRX has been one of the more unstable orgs since franchising when it comes to roster permanency

I say this as both the biggest Harbor enthusiast and the biggest Saadhak fan among relatively active VLR users: Saadhak isn't as good at Harbor as a lot of other pros who play him considerably less. I believe the Harbor comps would've worked better if he had a Harbor player like he used to with tuyz, but unfortunately he's made several minute errors with his utility in officials, and any and all errors in Harbor utility can (and usually will, as was often the case) cost your team when it comes to converting the round. Things like cascades stopped too early/late, slightly missed High Tides, and gaps in coves

Yes, the comps were a bit goofy, but at the end of the day the standout issues with Karmine Corp were their macro and teamplay. Saadhak is a seasoned igl who should be fluent in managing these things, but on Harbor he just doesn't seem to be able to as well because he has to focus on his utility more. The set plays are there, but everything else is reminiscent of the previous year's Karmine Corp with MAGNUM at the helm

Map win percentage makes more sense but you can't really argue 2% as a clear-cut inarguable margin anyhow since the sample sizes are pretty small

posted 1 month ago
  1. Map differential takes precedent in breaking ties in international tournaments, but whether or not it dictates "worst" region is, in fact, arguable
  2. They have the same map differential (-6) so it doesn't even matter, you'd look at round differential anyway
